Yes, but they deliver dmg in 1 hit, while you loose wolves each time you attack a stack, unless it's a very small one. |

I agree with crys41, exp offence+battle fury+retribution with 2 rings of inspiration and max hobs is the best combination for ST.
But hobs die soon :S
Then change ur strategies so you can keep hobs alive as long as possible, morale helps with that.

Hunts for barb are more difficult than other factions, if ur used to DE shrews, and Knight's xbows for example you can notice the difference ;) |

For hunts use wolvies without doubting with morale or luck.
Though hobs can come handy with creatures of unlimited retaliation or high speeed (8 or 9) units that can reach ur wolves and kill then at once! |

Thursting Might + Weighty Weapons combos is great but is only effective if:
1- You have a high attack parameter ( Im min AP and low levels dont work fine )
2- You set talents to increase effect like Cold Blade or Retributión.
3- If you use enchanted weapons like 4 x 10% swords
All of these increase the efectivity of TM + WW combo.
For me is better to increase the damage of your creatures , they are the main source to do damage in your army. The hero is power enought with his Stun attack ;)
TM + WW let you only + 30 - 40 more damage in 4 - 5 turns.
IMO I will choose
Basic + Advanded Offense + Battle fury + Cold Blade + Thursting Might or Expert Off in min AP
Basic + Adv. Offense + BF + Retributión + TM or Expert off in Full Arts |

hello,
what is the recommended troop setup for lvl4 barbarian?
I play on the .ru with that, but I loose nearly all of my green fights, it's maybe because of faction lvl1, dunno, but maybe my troops are not good, I have 1 goblin 24 wolfs and 16 orcs.
Thanks for helping, I know, I should write to the .ru forum, but I don't understand russian at all and basically barbarian is the same here... |
You still should be able to do the green fights.
Take retals with 1 troop, then hit with wolfs, there isn't much chooice at that level.
Or maybe ask for assist. |
