The Grand Capital special delivery service had just recently opened service, but the city was already swarming with inhabitants and multitude of visitors from all over the Empire.
The Lordship and grass-roots alike were making the final preparations to celebrate their most favourite holiday. Every single soul (and even zombies, too) were putting many hopes into the next year-in-turn, firmly believing that this new one was to be happy, full of pleasant events, and successfull overall.
The races of the Empire sought to prepare themselves and their dwellings for celebration in the way they found most fitting for their own customs; and still that didn't prevent them from putting a small effort into the common celebration. Be it a little help in decorating the streets, a personal investment to congratulate those in need via the New Year special delivery service, or elsewise, the common spirit of the Empire was still greatly supported and brought to the level of becoming an object of common mutual pride. By the time Her Majesty the Empress and members of the Court arrived on the Central Square, it was filled to edge with festive atmosphere and with Her subjects with happiness on their faces.
They heeded attentively Her speech, Her words of congratulations and wishes. And by hearing those kind words, by contemplating the fragile yet firm figure, they felt faith that everything they dreamed of, everything they craved for, was within reach, was coming up and with some effort would be there to claim for.
As every year before, with Her Majesty's oration, crowned with luxurious fireworks, started the celebration (till January 4). The
magic in the Empire lands combined with the Academy technologies made base for many diverse ways to celebrate, of which the most notorious for the Lords and Ladies, insatiable for adventures even in times of great festivities, were:
1. Special New Year Character images with winter thematics
2. Hunts, mercenary quests and thief ambushes 40% more often
3. Troops ready and mana restoration 40% quicker
4. Young Christmas deer transport, increasing movement speed by 80%
5. Faction skill points earned in combats increased by 20%
6. Old and New year Chinese horoscope symbolic hunts
7. New year ale in the artifact shop's presents section
8. Every Lord of combat level 3 and above gets a tasty present upon logging in once each day
9. Every Lord can make a present transfer (artifact) to others. The contents will remain unknown to the recipient until the New 2012 year. | Dear Community,
