My suggestion is to implement this new rule to tavern chat too since comments from spectators, discussions among friends or even comments from opponents distract from playing properly and infringes rights of peaceful enjoyment.

Instead lets make a tutorial so people can lean how to use the "hide audience message" option instead. I know it may be hard for some to figure out, but if we make it really simple maybe we can get even the slowest people among us can learn it!

Then they don't have to feel so sad over a couple of messages...
Lets help those poor souls!

In fact, let's get rid of tavern chat altogether! Silence is golden! Silence is also the safest option in this game.

It's not about being so stupid that we don't know how to press a button. It's a matter of principle. We shouldn't have to use that button. While I don't have a very high opinion of people who report chat flooders, I have even lower opinion of people who crash uninvited into other people's battle and game chat. I don't bother you in your battles and games, I expect you to extend that same courtesy to me.

Because one person in there don't want him in there don't mean others wont, so uninvited seems misleading...

And about don't have too press a button it is a lot easier than to write a long message. And that way others will still be able to chat and have fun, all it takes is one little click.

To me that is a much better solution. Everyone gets what they want instead of one person who wants to enforce his will of silence to all others

Don't play with him/her/it. If you have a friend who likes to talk to you on battle or game chat, don't accept challenges from a known chat flood reporter. Maybe in a planned group battle this could be a problem (party crashers) but not in tavern games.
I play a lot of CG (2x2 or 3x3)

If people wanna talk let them talk

Why should one person in a 3x3 dictate if people wanna talk while they play.
Is it to much to ask that a person just press one little button if he wants silence, it seems easier than to write a long line.

Don't understand why people should be so selfish they wanna stop other people having fun? Especially since it is easier to press a button than to write a long complaint

The problem is that some people get into battle chat to troll and not to have a friendly chat. I don't actually mind my hunt partners or card opponents chatting with their friends during battle or card games but I want people to have the power to report chat flooders just in case. Checks and balances. Makes the social aspect of the game more interesting.
Think we are striving off topic so last msg for me!

But their is already flood, insult and rudeness rules. So cannot see you problem. Also I have played hundred of PvP an never experienced anything remotely problematic.

I support the thread suggestion by offering rebuttals of counter arguments. I hate simply putting +1 or -1. XD
Apologies for being ignorant: as far as I know, there's no "turn off spectator's chat" offered in taverns; so I can't prevent multitudes of conversations going on during my card games.

I agree with Khellendros: CGs are a different ballgame.

I also thank Grus for supporting thisIn fact, let's get rid of tavern chat altogether! Silence is golden! Silence is also the safest option in this game.

Me too. It's sad what happened to that player mentioned in that other thread. The worst part is, if someone was to step forward now with an earlier battle to report it might end up as "relapse x4" even though it happened earlier. Punishment progression follows "/forum_messages.php?tid" in Complaints and applications and not on "/warlog.php?warid" specified in the report.

I think there should be a rule that once a player has been punished for a particular violation, he/she/it should be immune to accusations for the same violations done earlier (but not later). But this is already way off topic and I'm just venting here because I typed a novel only to find that the thread was already locked when I pressed the post message button. XD
