| Last week some countries in europe switched to summer time (+1 hour on all clocks). I was wondering if this change exists in russia or not, since i noticed that the difference between server and local time has increased. Mistake or different appreciation of time? |

I talk about Russia because game is managed by russian people. The question was about the reasons why (if) the clock stays on winter time instead of summer time, not really on the location of servers. |
This server tends to immitate the international standards rather than the Russian ones. For example the gold is represented as 100,000 instead of 100.000, the date is in MONTH-DAY-YEAR format etc. The standard time chosen for the server is as mentioned the Greenwich (GMT). The GMT zone is not affected by the change of seasons. (http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/)
The location of servers could be in Russia or anywhere else, it doesn't matter, admins can choose whichever time zone they want to represent as the server's. So, yes the clock stays on the same time. |
