| Today i reached level elf 5 faction skill. According to https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=10 i was supposed to get +1 defense and +1% initiative of troops but i did not. Is this a bug or am i missing something? |

| Hmm thank you. Yes there are some bonuses on my troops which do not come from the character. Does this mean that my character will not get these bonuses (only the troops)? |
| Yes, only the troops. Your hero does not get initiative, it's fixed to 10 no matter what, same with Attack, only parameters and weapons apply. (As for defense, you don't need it on hero anyway :)) |
| One last question. Does this bonus apply only to the faction i got it for (elven in my case) or will it apply if i switch my race too? |
| It applies only on your faction. If you change faction, the bonus of that faction level applies ONLY. Only bonuses from Guilds (Hunter's, Mercenaries', Thieves' etc) are independent. |
Forget post 6, it's badly written.
It applies only on your elven faction. At any time, ONLY the bonuses you got from your CURRENT faction apply, meaning that if you change faction, the old faction's bonuses are canceled. Only bonuses from Guilds (Hunter's, Mercenaries', Thieves' etc) are independent. Of course if you change back to elf, you'll get the bonus again. |
