I read about these as well.
Those were skills related to specific buildings in castles. When the weels were introduced, those building disappeared and got refunded (apparently). Can't tell you where a full report could be, but if you look around in the very old posts you will find some information.
Akrisae: you will find those testing wheel in one of the very first posts in announcements (it says in the title something about talent wheels being introduced, if i remember well). But think that there has been an update and those are still the very first wheels, so they are not 100% accurate. |

Also we decided to abolish the temporary effects of castle buildings. Temp effects can be partially replaced by constant effects of newly introduced talents. Besides, such notions as "temporary effect" exert unfavorable influence upon faction balance; they should not be an option. Another negative factor is that players tend to limit their combat performance by the effect duration, for one hour once in three hours.
As a result, all buildings granting temp effects will be removed. Those who have already constructed such buildings will get a full refund of gold and resources spent.
