Rune magic
Technically, Rune magic isn’t magic at all but is a unique dwarven racial ability. Rune magic can only be applied to your own stacks when the targeted stack gains its turn. Each stack can have any individual rune magic applied to it only once per combat. Each individual rune can also only be used once per combat (exceptions: The talent “Supplementary rune” allows any rune to be used twice per combat and high faction skill level can allow an additional casting of some rune types).

To have rune magic activated one must have at least 1st faction skills level. Every additional faction skills level grants you with a new type of rune:

[Rune of Berserking] Rune of Berserking.
Required faction skills level: 1
When you will reach 11th faction skills level you’ll get an additional rune of this kind.

On the attack after activation the stack that has this rune applied will hit its target twice. This rune can only be used after at least one creature from the stack has perished. In other words, the current amount of creatures in stack should be lower than the initial amount of creatures in the very same stack at the beginning of combat).

The effect of this rune is removed right after the first melee/ranged attack of the creature. When the creature affected by this rune retaliates the effect is not removed. If the creature kills its target with its first hit the effects is also not removed.
[Rune of Charge] Rune of Charge.
Required faction skills level: 2
When you will reach 12th faction skills level you’ll get an additional rune of this kind.

The speed of a creature affected by this rune is multiplied by 2.

The effect of the rune is removed right after the affected creature finishes its turn (even if that stack skips its turn by pressing Wait or Defend).
[Rune of Exorcism] Rune of Exorcism.
Required faction skills level: 3

Activation of this rune with 100% probability removes all Darkness magic spells from the stack affected (only those Darkness magic spells that can be removed by the “Dispersion” spell are removed).
[Rune of Magic Control] Rune of Magic Control.
Required faction skills level: 4

When a creature affected by this rune attacks the targeted enemy stack it “steals” a random Holy magic spell from it. The spell is removed from a target and is applied to the aggressor with 100% probability and same duration as target had.

The effect of the rune is removed right after the creature completes its attacks. When the creature affected by this rune retaliates the effect is not removed. If the target doesn’t have any Holy magic spells applied to it, the use of this rune is wasted.
[Rune of Elemental Immunity] Rune of Elemental Immunity.
Required faction skills level: 5

The stack that is affected by this rune becomes immune to 2 random elemental damages from the list: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth.

The creature that activates this rune is affected until end of combat. If hero has “Supplementary rune” talent learned, this rune can be used for a second time on a different stack and there’s a possibility that different elements will be applied.
[Rune of Etherealness] Rune of Etherealness.
Required faction skills level: 6

For one full turn (with a 10% initiative of that turn) the creature that activates this rune becomes incorporeal. The effect is removed with/before the creature’s next turn.

That means that the effect will be removed with their next turn for those creatures that have an initiative more than 10; the effect will be removed before their next turn for those creatures that have an initiative less than 10.
[Rune of Resurrection] Rune of Resurrection.
Required faction skills level: 7

When a stack activates this rune it has 40% of its perished creatures resurrected. In other words, the number of resurrected creatures equals 0.4 * (initial number of the creatures in stack minus current number of the creatures in stack). The result is rounded down

For example,
