Please don't be criticizing our games here. Its running smooth enough. We have enough mechanism to deal with the situation you have described above. |
I have given a lot of thought to this games and i have the following conclusions-
1. Since the admins have left this game on its own i feel this was a great idea but it had nothing creative. Olypics are games with sooo many sports and all we got is 2 events. To make it olympic standard you need to have many types of events with a lot of medals on sale!
2. There is only 1 guy managing it which can lead to a lot of cheating. By cheating i mean that players can have better staged combats. This can cause many good clans which deserve more entries will lose recruitment while an uneventful clan might win and will post these meadls as this was something huge which it is definitely not! Also, if some great clan isnt able to win it then they will also be mails from their members saying-
Hey u didnt give me a chance and look whats happpened and this would not have happened had i been there.
3. This will lead to teasing and show off. This will start the so called clan rankings which will create rivalry between clans.
4. Had this been in the ideas & suggestions forum, then i would have found it better as a server event is much more transparent. And the fact that the creator of the event is participating i feel some may say its cheating if he wins.
5. Yaah but this also allows players to ply when they want. |

Then the 8 qualifiers play the finals games.

Small steps, my friend... the real Olympics started with a small amount of events too... And, imho, getting ANYTHING organized here is an act of creativity ;)

That's a matter of trust and sportsmanship. If you don't trust Vlaer in his role as organizer/referee, don't participate.

We can't earn any items or gold here, so winning the bragging-rights is the only thing left. If you can't stand that, don't participate.
And if you think military clans should peacefully sit on the grass, give each other daisy chains and hugs... think again.

Also in the second version we can try countries instaead of clans.

You maybe right but i think that some clan leader will tease the other one still even if the other has a good clan but he did not have the winning player.

This may end up causing a headche to the leader who will in anger say harsh or throw them out. So here the qualifying comes into implementing.
What i basically want is a reformatting of the tournament and a start next week.

Maybe, but then again, would that be such a big deal? Most of the teasing would be tongue-in-cheek.. having a bit of fun, without losing respect for the other clan(s)... but that's just my opinion... your argument could also be a valid point, but let's just see what happens before jumping to conclusions... (I trust this will just work out fine)
