| I know it can earn money on the long run. Asking if its advisable(current gold i have) and which smiths level can i really start getting some profit? How long does it take to have a 70% efficiency? |

smiths earn money whenever they're paid more than 100% of the repair cost. so they only earn money when they repair items for other players.
meaning:
if you want to repair a Thief Ring, you spend 8000 gold. if you're not paid more than 8000 gold, you're not earning any money. why would someone pay more than 8k to repair it? well, if you have a 90% repair efficiency, they will. until you reach that level, you'll be spending your own gold.
and btw: repairing a thief art will get you 2 smith points - each 4k gold spent in repair equals 1 smith point. |

OMG! I spend over 2 million and I'm still at 50%. And I would read level 90% if I spend over 12 million gold.
But you are saying me, that I should already reach 90% and with 2 million spend I should be much higher? |
for SG8 (and the much desired 90% repair efficiency) you need 2885 points. each point = 4k gold. total: 11,540,000 gold.
if you get ppl to pay you for repairing their arts, you don't need to invest your own gold.
but those eleven and a half millions will go into repairing the arts in any case.
