Can someone change loan to gift and vice versa
Eg.. Loan some money and now it was determined as gift
On the other hand, Send as gift and now determined to become loan |
| the first is ok but you cant turn a gift into a loan it would be like me saying here have 10k and then a week later hey when are u giving me that 10k back |
| Turning gifts into loan is not appropriate. Suppose you send 10k to some person, and he uses it. Later, you say 'I have converted it into a loan', its impossible for him to pay back, and its not right either. |
Why would you do this anyway?
As mikey and vlaer have pointed out you can't change a gift to a loan (unless the other party agrees).
Also all gifts and loans need to be labelled as such. Changing them just creates confusion in transfer logs. |

the creditor always loses the gold if it's not returned.
however, if you want to spare him the trouble of getting a penalty for unreturned debt, transfer 1 gold to him with the description: "loan converted into gift"
make sure that you can gift the amount under the General Rules for gifts.
later, if the player is indeed your friend, he can gift you that amount when he has it. but he can't be forced in anyway to do that, since he owes you nothing. |

You can change the loan into a gift if you respect rule "3.14. There are limits for transfers intended as presents or loans. Maximum size of debt that can be owed to all other players in total is 20,000 * [Combat level] gold. The maximum term for loans is 1 month, unless the comments to the transfers state a shorter period. "
Also, as Syrian stated above you should transfer him 1 gold with the description: "08-26-12 09:45: Transferred 10000 Gold to i_Hate_U, Commission charged: 100 : loan - Now changed to gift" |
