There is a small difference in the price of resources between the two servers. On .ru it's 180 for wood and ore and 360 for the others, so whether you level up now or after the merge won't make a huge difference in terms of gold. I would recommend doing what you think is most fun for you.
Another thing you might want to consider is that castle buildings are slightly cheaper on ru. |

at level 7 you only have the citadel, which is 20 000 gold, 20 ore and 20 wood on both servers.
level up reward for level 7 is 10 wood / 10 ore / 3 mercury / 3 sulfur / 3 gems / 3 crystals
= 32 resources that become like 3 gold pieces cheaper.
So 96 gold IF you sell all before the merge ^^ |
