It's just a general query, and not my personal issue.
Let's take for example I have 1 main and 2 alts. Both my alts have been banned for illegal transactions. My main is simply given a penalty as a warning.
Here I have two questions:
1) Can I create 2 new alts keeping my current main since my previous 2 alts were banned and are no longer usable?
2) If I plan on starting over with a brand new set of accounts, can I simply abandon my current main and create 1 new main and 2 alts. Will it be counted as my 4th+ character and banned immediately?

of course, you can create. admin wont control your keyboard to stop you create 4th, 5th, 6th id.

3.10. It is allowed to create additional characters to familiarize yourself with features of other factions. Additional character must be completely independent; remember, that extrachars created for financial profiting of the main character in any way are blocked without hesitation. One player may have up to 3 characters (one main and two extras)
As I understand this rule your extrachars have been blocked for a good reason. I would advise you not to create any more characters.

In theory it goes like this:
1. You can't have more then 1 main and 2 extra chars
2. If one of your chars is banned, then you should be able to create a new one, as long as you respect the rules.
3. If you decide to ask for a ban on one of your chars, you should be able to create a new one, as long as you respect the rules.
So the main problem is respecting the rules. Creating a new char must not help in any way your existing chars. And your existing chars must not help in any way your new char.
Personally I think that admins will want a player to have 3 chars, as the probability of that player paying real money will increase. |
The problem is, banning one char to make another MAY lead to helping the main, since you are able to invite your multies from your main reference link and to "profit" from them. Such thing is allowed up to two multies I belive. I remember a forum announcement in CAA "Blocking one character to start another is not allowed", but I don't find it now, anyway the concept of that announcement was the "BOW blocks", it was irrelevant to the amount of characters you create.
Also, if admins wanted to profit from people making 3 chars, they wouldn't limit the amount of chars you are allowed to make, the line One player may have up to 3 characters (one main and two extras) wouldn't be there. Such rules are only made to maintain balance and fairplay amongst the players. |

(1)Q.8.15: I got one main and two adds, but one of my adds got blocked. Can I register another one now?
A: You can if you haven't registered any in the past. Also, is your main gets a "No more additional characters" warning penalty, you must abstain from registering any more characters.
(2)Q.8.16: I have registered more than three characters, how do I get them blocked?
A: You need to abandon the excess characters. Also you must sign them all properly, i.e. which one is main, which are additional, and which are abandoned.

Not sure that (2) is exactly what you are looking for but I couldn't find anything recent that answers it better.
