Author | market - "Sort by: Price per battle: Ascending" - bug ? |
Hello! i have a question about sorting of artifacts on market. i used this new option as the title already sais. so, my problem is that i have 2 medals with different durabilities and different prices:
(repairing costs: 36.000)
1. Imperial order 3rd grade - 60/60 with enchantment -> 399.900 gold
2. Imperial order 3rd grade - 1/55 -> 22.000 gold

-> https://www.lordswm.com/auction.php?cat=medals&sort=0&art_type=bwar3
- shouldn't have the order with 1/55 durability smaller price/battle ration than another one (60/60) ?
- Is it a bug ?
I have no idea how the admins did this calculations. Because I made my own calculations and got results which were vice versa to theirs.

So what i did:
firstly i used this russian site to calculate prices/battle:
http://www.witchhammer.ru/viewpage.php?page_id=19
i used two smiths
1. 90% efficiency and 100% repairing costs
2. 90% efficiency and 999% repairing costs (i know there is no such smith, just a theoretical construction ;) )
i got results which i compared:
== smith 1 (90/100): ==
medal 1 (60/60, 399.900) -> 1150.35 gold/battle
medal 2 (1/55, 22.000) -> 842.39 gold/battle
conclusion: 1/55 has smaller p/b-ratio than 60/60 [!]
-> not equal to that what our market sorting function sais [!]
== smith 2 (90/999): ==
medal 1 (60/60, 399.900) -> 6662.63 gold/battle
medal 2 (1/55, 22.000) -> 7564.08 gold/battle
conclusion: 1/55 has bigger p/b-ratio than 60/60
-> and now it is _equal_ to that what our market sorting function sais, but it is absolutely unrealistic [!] there is no smith who repairs for 999% of repairing costs.

so where did i a mistake? | "Sort by: Price per battle: Ascending" simply sorts artifacts by taking what the artifact is priced on the market and dividing it by its durability. It does not factor in repairs or maximum durability. | omg. i expected too much from this feature =(. thank you Dragon Eater, it really make sence!
60/60 -> 399.900/60 = 6666.667 gold/battle
1/55 -> 22.000/1 = 22.000 gold/battle | closed by Lord hpsim (2013-06-02 05:53:07) |
