I think the admins have forgotten to introduce text quests in English version !!! well there are fans for text quests !!!!
i think it must be easy for admins to introduce however...
any idea if the admins are planning to introduce it and general view on whether we need it?
btw in russian version where do we go to stat a text quest? |
There's no news on any translation so far.
You go to different location for each text quests, here's a list:
1. Secrets of "Justice" (The Order of Heroes, Empire Capital)
2. Search for Thieves (The Order of Heroes, Empire Capital)
3. Camp Robbers (Library, Empire Capital)
4. The Book of Legends (Library, Empire Capital)
5. Dragon Egg (Ranger Union, Green Wood)
6. Outpost (Tavern, Sunny City)
7. A Myriad of Illusions (Library, Empire Capital)
8. Bastion (Tavern, Sunny City)
9. Rendezvous with the Stranger (Ranger Union, Green Wood)
10. Bowl of Destiny (Varisco's Shop, Wolf Dale)
You need to do some of them first to unlock some of the others

I've tried the first one and the 10th one so far, mind you, they do get quite lengthy. |
| What can you get from these text quests? :) |
You get a gold reward of 10 times the score (out of 100) the first time you complete the quest. But you can retake them however many times you want.
Completing 10 gives you an achievement (the stack of paper with a green tick)
Completing 10, all with 100 score, gives you a similar achievement but with "100%" instead of a tick.
I am not sure if re-taking them can update your score to a higher one to be qualified for the 2nd achievement (in case you got less than 100 in some quests), but you won't get the gold reward again :P |
on .com we used to have 1 text quest,
first time i completed it i had a score of 70 points and got 700 gold, the points were also displayed on my profile.
After that i redid the quest and got 100 points, no gold this time, but profile showed 100 points after that.
so it doesnt matter if you get 100 points in first or 10th attempt, you can always still get the 2nd badge. |

The official position so far is:
All text quests will be introduced to .com in English, however, currently, plans are to make them different text quests from those in .ru
What this means is, TQ 1 would be something totally different in terms of text, but still be paired with the first TQ in .ru; so passing either one would give the reward. Thus, exempli gratia, passing it in English and getting the proper reward would not reward passing the same # TQ in Russian, etc.
The exception to this are TQ 6 and 8 where there isn't really much to change since it's more of math quest than text quest, so with a little modifications, they are more or less going to be published as is.
Work is being done slowly in that direction. When TQs arrive on .com I expect there will be three available to complete at once (#1,6,8). Then, consecutive ones will be added one by one. But I simply have no realistic forecasts as to when that will happen. The three TQs I mentioned are likely to appear early next year. |

even i tried one, won with 88 point but it took nearly 4hr(excluding break time)
but text quest win details only visible in .ru version. |
| Text quests are something of a nice detour off the game. Sadly, even before the merging, the google translator doesnt translate them that good most of the times so it ends up getting annoying rather than a small delight. |
