| In the last survival tournament for level 14 knights, red or holy knights dominated the field. I was the top "white knight" in the tournament and I came in 7th overall among level 14 knights. I don't think it's fair that my choice of class is held against me in this type of tournament. The classes are different enough to warrant their own subdivision in the tournament. What do you guys think? |
so are you saying that there should be 7 attempts for white knights and 7 for holy knghts?
Or 3.5 attempts for each class?
Whatever be the case, it gives the knight faction or any other faction with alternate class, a chance to get a double trophy in each survival tournament... what about others? |

I found it reasonable for this..The way white knight and holy knight tactic is just too different..And it seems to me holy knight always controlled the tourney ranking |

7 attempts ? i am not a ST player but i know it is 5 attempts :P
it can be allowed only if all classes are released, not now !

| or admins could just make it so they can only try ST with one class(white or red kight). If they try with other class then thier score for the other class is nullified as a result. They can still switch factions and try as other factions, but the same rule applies if they try as demons or necros |

normal and alternate class without spending gold or having a time limit, since they both use same castle buildings |

Just as you choose which troop setup and talents you think best you should also choose which alt class. |
In the given example, red knight is clearly better for ST than white knight, so to have a chance you have to play red. Just as it is unbalanced for factions to compete against each other in ST, so it is the same for classes. At least I know it in the case of knight, I have no idea for other factions that already have 2 classes. If the same can be said for the other factions that have 2 classes, then:

and until all factions have alts, maybe it should only be possible to compete in 1 class per faction in any one ST

I'm not so sure about this. It's not true that holy knight always is to prefer in ST. That depends on lvl and current ST. At lower levels, white knight are often better. At 113th ST and 114th ST white knight won both at lvl 3,4 and 7. Level 6 was won by white (114th) one time and holy the other. So it seems that class choice can be interesting at lower levels.
Also, players who like to play magic builds can't really compete in ST:s either (of course there are exceptions here too). PoO is essential for the ST player. |
