This year's New Year celebration turned into quite an adventure when its symbol, the majestic Fir-tree, was abducted directly from the Central square, endangering the fortune and prosperity of all Empire citizens in the year 2014.
Fortunately, much due to cohesion and festive ardour, the valorous heroes managed to catch up with the abductors and rout them entirely.
The fragile symbol of the New Year finally retook its lawful place in the main Central square. This fact alone gave ground to much rejoicing of the Lordship public and the grass-roots; but then an inexplicable thing happened.
As a lady who participated in liberating the Fir-tree approached it to set a branch straight, a beautiful magical ball appeared just within the lady's hand's reach! Another distinguished hero drawn by curiosity approached the tree; and another ball appeared in a bright flash right at the height of his shoulder! It was the Fir-tree's way of expressing gratitude to its rescuers. Soon, a queue of all devoted liberators formed to collect the magical balls. All heroes who gained at least 5 victories in Fir-tree liberation battles received a gift from it personally, the durability of which depended on the rating among representatives of the lords' faction and combat level at the end of the event:
The holiday was saved, and that meant that the time of traditional celebrations with music, dances and, of course, presents, was nigh! For the period from today, December 31st, until January 3rd, the following festive features may be enjoyed by all Lords and Ladies:
1. Old and New year Chinese horoscope symbolic hunts: this year, the Horse 2014 helps driving out the Mad snake 2013;
2. Hunts, mercenary errands, thief ambushes, ranger briefings 40% more often;
3. Troops ready and mana restoration 40% quicker;
4. Faction skill points earned in combats increased by 20%;
5. Young Christmas deer mount increasing movement speed by 80% (by 90% for Drake owners);
6. A Fir-tree will be present in the center of all battlefields presenting unique tactical possibilities;
7. Special New Year Character images with winter thematics;
8. New year ale in the artifact shop's presents section;
9. Festive potions of oblivion in the shop's potions section;
10. Present transfer via Delivery service available to every Lord. The contents will remain unknown to the recipient until the arrival of the New 2014 year;
11. A tasty treat once a day upon logging in for every Lord of combat level 3 and above;
12. Randomly allocated gift boxes on the battlefields in PVP combats, the boosts of which may significantly influence the course of combat.
