in this fight:
6 spawned wolfs hit less than 1 real one? How does this work? it seems as if the less there are, the higher they hit...
Is it something to do with that it is a caravan?

Things I hope you should realize:
1) You are not Full AP, Caravan is.
2) The Caravan is a MAGE DEMON. Hence it is using HELLFIRE. (ref: https://www.lordswm.com/showperkinfo.php?name=hellfire)
If you notice the damage being dealt shown in the chat box, it shows XX Extra Damage dealt with Hellfire.
Hellfire damage is independent of number of creatures in the stack and dependent on the spell power of the Demon Hero.
Hence you had such a case.
