AuthorThe damage range of a creature
Just in case you did not know it,I'll tell you how to calculate the damage range of a creature.
s=stack of creatures(the number that appears below a creature(you can adjust it in the recruitment tab))
If you check a creature's stats,you will find an icon that looks like a multi-sided yellow diamond which you might recognize as 'blinding light' a commonly used term in games and in holy books. Eg : A rouge's damage is 5-7.
And so,minimum damage = s*minimum damage and maximum damage= s*max damage.
And with the given example,lets say s=8.
Then, minimum damage = 8*5 = 40.
And max damage = 8*7 =56.

There are two reasons I'm posting this.They are:
1.to help other players
and
2.to see if anyone has to correct whatever I typed.
So,if you have a correction,please type it in this thread.Remember,defence is also a factor so you might not get exactly your calculation but it will be close.
Another example just to make clear,
A stone eater's damage is 6-9.
If there is a stack of 15 stone eaters,their damage range would be what is given below.

Min Damage = 6*15 = 90.
Max Damage = 9*15 = 135.

And please don't make fun of my level when I posted this thread.
Any corrections/other formulas in lordswm are encouraged.
When you calculate damage of a creature you should also consider the attack ,respective enchants of that creature then defense,respective enchants of the target.

These is already a help section which provider formula and explanation of damage.

Damage range is much more complex than this and there are many threads which already cover the formula in much more detail. Some of them may even be accurate.

Level of poster has little to do with it though it might have been wiser to experiment a little more on your own before posting your theory.
Rules of damage and healing

The general damage dealt during an attack is a sum of damage dealt by every single creature in the attacking stack. The damage is usually chosen randomly between the minimal and maximal damage parameters of a stack. Damage dealt equals the product of that digit and the number of creatures in the stack. The attack parameter increases dealt damage, while the defense parameter of the defending stack decreases it.

>>If "Attack" (A) of the attacking stack is bigger than "Defence" (D) of the defending stack, then
Damage = N * RND(min, max) * [1 + 0,05 (A-D) ] * [1 - 3*Y/100]

>>If (A) is smaller than (D), then
Damage = N * RND(min, max) * [1 - 3*Y/100] / [1 + 0,05*(D-A)]

Whence:
N - number of creatures in the attacking stack;
RND(min, max) - random integer from the "Damage" parameter delta;
Y - The level that the character in command of the defending stack has reached in faction skill of the attacking character's faction.

OK I have a doubt about damage If the receiving stack has expert defense and attacking stack has expert offense , what might be the resulting damage?

is it 100% + 30% - 30% = 91% or 100% exact?
final damage is D*(1+A/100)*(1-D/100) so expert att vs expert def would be D*1.3*0.7=0.91D
