Author | Question about enchants |
The enchantings on rings and necklaces have an ignore elemental shield bonus. Dous it mean that elemental damage from weapons is weakened by this bonus? | No, it means that elemental damage from weapons are strengthened by this bonus.
If the enemy has rings enchanted, they don't weaken your elemental damage, however armor enchantments do. | is* | Hi , i will try an example:
You have a 4x10 EAWF sword and your opponent have a 4x10% armor.
Lets take a base damage of 200 point ( Why 200?, why no? :D)
Son once calculated attack and defense parameters, talents arts effect etc you do 200 damage.
As you have a 4 x10% sword you really do 200 physical damage + 20 Earth + 20 Air + 20 water + 20 fire damage.
If your opponente have the 4x10 armor ( 4 x 20% magic shield ) he will take 20% less for each elemental damage so 200 physical damage + 16 earth + 16 air + 16 water + 16 fire damage.
If you wear a 4 x 10 ring then you ignore 4x30% resistances so he really dont take a 20% less damage for each element in his armor , he only block 14% and not 20% so you will do : 200 physical damage + 17 erth, 17 air , 17 fire, 17 water.
If Im wrong someone correct this :) | Nice explanation WoodBox | @4 - right. | So does that mean if the opponent has no enchants and I am equipped with Magic Shield x% enchants, then it has no effect? | It has effect.
Magic Shield x% enchants work against enchanted weapons and against magic damage. So if your opponent has no enchants, your Magic Shield x% enchants still works against opponent's spell damage (if he's magician), lorekeepers' fireball, druids' lightning, .. |
