Author | *Your Turn* sound improvement |
I have to acknowledge that this feature is indeed a very nice one, however it gets irritating after a while. The reason is it "dings" more often than necessary.
So, my suggestion is to add the following conditions to it (combine them with AND operator) :
1. if it's his turn.
2. if the battle is not PvE (battle has timer).
3. if the player is not interracting with the combat tab on browser for [SECONDS_PER_TURN/5] seconds.
4. if the player is not controlled automatically (eg Berserk spell, auto-combat, independance, griffin diving etc).
statement 1 is in grey for obvious reasons.
The reset statements will result in :
-Major decrement of unnecessary dings.
-No dings when the player pays attention to the combat.
-No dings when the player plays with 2 or more creatures on the row.
-Ding only when you really need it (sleepy, distracted, busy on other browser tabs etc)
-No false dings when player control is not required.
-Can enjoy silent combat and reminder sound at the same time. |

Yet another of my simple-but-make-perfect suggestions.
Looks like you forgot to add that :p

but how will the computer know that u are distracted or away from it,
unless there is a webcam active and the administration continously keep checking everyone simultaenously :D
except for that point
+1 to other ideas :) ^_^ |
No need to monitor the user ofc. There are easier tricks for that purpose.
Checking if the mouse stays in the same position for some seconds for example. |
