Author | About russian player's attitude in Free for All |
Is it me, or they get in a "Racist Mode" when 5 people are russian speakers (From Rusia, Ukraine, etc) and one of the 6 in Free for all is european??
Its like every game, after saying "Hi", you get targeted hard.
Im not complaining, just wondering if it happens to sb. else too, or its part of their culture, or dont know what.
All the Free for Alls I won were because they betrayed and backstabbed each other and forgot about me, but seriously, this situation is going too far away.
And thx in advance. |

Ah, I get your point I suppose... |
Yeah, I don't want to get racist here, but it's very common attitude in general in PvP. Not only targeting in FFA, but also it's really bad in 2vs2 CG, where I'm usually the only non-russian speaker.
Whenever I go 'Hi', they start writing in russian, and thanks to google translator I've already seen messages like 'my teammate no russian, I lose' or 'he understands nothing )))' and alike. It really gets annoying, when your ally has better communication with the opposite team than with you. Guess we just better stick to playing CG with clanmates. Might be, that they get cocky and don't like playing with .com players, due to our huge disadvantage in fsp. But I don't think we're anyhow worse when it comes to skill and knowledge of the game and such treatment is unacceptable, as often it's not me who makes big mistakes, but I am almost always the one considered guilty for a loss, because I'm an english-speaker.
On the positive side, I've also encountered great and friendly russians and enjoyed playing with them a lot. Nevertheless, you got a point here, the problem exists. |
evidence in last insight tourney is russians is better
.com is ~10% but not 10% prizes |
To be honest i have never seen such attitude and i am playing in russian server almost since forever. But different people ofc have different experiences. Maybe russian players love Greece? :P |
well i havent actually been with many "rude"(racist as u might call it) russians..though i dont usually translate much but if in a gb, they do help me out and stuff. ofcourse not all of them are as patient or understanding. |
I had a similar problem with a low lvl alt (before merge). On high lvl, people are more comprehensive. Though, I never say hi; that's a good starting move to get bashed. I rather like privet, I don't expect chatting in English as a general rule anyway.
As for skill, before and after merge did increase challenge in CG. There are few bad Russian CG players really. |
i actually had a rude guy in this battle

but you cant judge a whole country based on what a couple of people are like. on the whole ive found the russian players to be great, and they give us more combats :P |
but you cant judge a whole country based on what a couple of people are like Agree! |
if you feel insulted, just beat them in 1v1 for revenge. |
if you feel insultedthen report :P |
Just don't translate messages. Seriously "My teammate not russian, I lose" is such a noob excuse.
for 4themassive:
That's just a statistics issue, we are a minority in this server, of course there will be more russian than commies there.
for Ipsen:
If you feel you're targetted because you are not russian, just say "privet" in all the FFA combats you join and don't talk anymore. Though, I hope it's just your imagination. |
Go Knight, stack defense, Speak English, let them waste their time on your swords while your teammates mop them up? :D |
I never say hi, I always put a "+" when I'm ready. It's the best thing to do. |
Happened with me many many times, in min ap 6 players FFA a russian joined me in full arts and all 9 arts were enchanted, I wrote in description all kill him, and finally everyone including him eliminated me first :/ |
