| now everybody knows the secret to the wizard is enchanted gargoyles and at level 8 there power is greatly decreased with out them since it is arguably there most important creature but back to the question part of the topic are BW wizards given a major disadvantage without upg. gargs as I see they are not used in great numbers like E.G now of course I understand they are useful in a sense but I mean useful like shrews or useful like poisoners |
like main unit used my normal wizards are enchanted gargs , similarly for BW wizard main unit is gremlin wreckers
different alts different gameplay , you cant compare
for eg , for darkness demon fiends are main unit , while for normal demon incendiaries isnt used everywhere.. |
| No, BW uses attacking tactics, of course he loses the advantage of running around. But why not use upgraded gargoyles in level 8 ? I don't get it. I thought they are good on level 8. |

You aren't really at disadvantage because of Grotesques. In addition to their vulnerability aura, you can have them deal proportionally good damage with proper talents and a little extra attack. Also, AI likes them, sometimes more than your nearby fat stack of genies. You can think of it as a shock troop to fly ahead together with genies, and harass smaller/support enemy units, like druids, lorekeepers, etc... Sure they won't last long though.
Or, you can have them removed and load up golems, which have a high recruit count instead (but only against AI, I suppose). Just don't think of Grotesques as a main unit. |
yes that was my question hallion it is because I cant afford them atm I understand they are useful
I needed to know if it was as important as rouges to shrews or bows to xbows

| I guess as noob_xD said, wreckers are better. Maybe they are less important than shrews or xbows yeah, but even inffected zombies are precious for necromancers, I'm sure you'll find a type of combat where you would prefer grotesques. Definitely buy them when you can, but better build genies first. |
