Author | Question about initiative |
I had a pvp match against elf, his elven bowmen had initiative of 10.9, my orcs had initiative of 11.2, but his elven bowmen acted before my orcs on first turn. How is this possible, what am i missing here? |

The pre-combat positioning of units on the bar happens with a random deviation of 0% to 10%.
What this means is, explaining it on the "lap runners" example, the runners do not start from the same point, they're randomly scattered within a "10% of the lap length" interval beyond the start line =) This makes things unpredictable, and sometimes provides a chance for lower-initiative creatures get their first turn before the higher-initiative creatures do. |

In English it means that his elven bowman had a increase in deviation for his initiative e.g if +10% he would have 11.9 initiative and if you were unlucky (in that battle which you were) your % stayed stagnant or at best very minimal increase in % initiative deviation, hence his bowman came before your orcs..
Note: they will either be 0% or increase up till 10% but they will never reduce. |
Thanks to all, got it now. |
