| Will the defence reduction still work with firewall? I presume not, but would be very nice if you could. Was thinking about the possibility of a elemental build when I reach level 14. |
| I've never seen firewall used with dominion of fire so I'm not sure, but judging from the dominion of fire description, I think it should work. It probably won't work well though since you have to spend talent points taking basic chaos magic to get dominion of fire, and then you'll need advanced nature magic to get firewall. |
i've never seen it either, but i suspect firewall won't trigger dominion of fire, for the following reasons:
1. the firewall spell doesn't deal damage directly: it creates a firewall;
2. firewall and dominion of fire are from different magic schools;
3. in the HoMM lore, dominion of fire was created by Dark Elves. Dark Elves cannot cast firewall.
