Play with whatever faction you like and want to play. The game is continuously changing. Today some faction is good, few weeks after some other will be good.

yeah, to be honest i am kinda stuck still on what to take...
i mean i really like elf and have played with it for years(older accs) so should i play with it or give other factions a try? the only problem is that if i choose a faction i gotta stick with it for quite a while so even if i do, i gotta pick it carefully |
Well I haven't decided for myself as well. So here is what I am going to do, I will build FSL 3 in all factions before keeping a main. That way I would have enough experience in all factions and can easily choose one I like. Also 9% resist in all factions isn't bad at all and infact a bonus. :)
That is like 90*9 = 810 total fsp which isn't much and easily attainable by level 9 at which point CG starts.

Also one more advice.
If you want to see which faction is best at particular level, go and check previous Minor Tournaments.
Now for example at CL 10 in 31st Minor Tournament many medals go to Charmer Elf but that doesn't mean they are best faction. It is simply due to excess no. of elf players.
To get correct results, calculate how many X faction players are in Top 200 and how many X faction player got the medals. Do it for all 9 factions and compare results. You may find the results fascinating and even shocking. This is tedious task altogether though. :) |

besides, i understand ur plan, in fact a friend of mine did pretty much the same thing as well, but i dont think playing with all factions would help me decide so just wanted to make things clear for myself since i plan on making it in a few weeks :D

charmer elf and tribal are great in survilurgs and doesn't struggle at all

I simply hate it when a charmer elf joins me in a defense battle. Opponents cut through them like butter. Very less health. Moderate damage. Battle depends upon if Sharpshooters hit first.
The best is Tribal and Dwarf hands down. All others are a hit and miss. |

you are wrong... at least i feel charmer is better than classic elf in survilurgs even though they cut troops number every time after MT.

I simply hate it when a charmer elf joins me in a defense battle. Opponents cut through them like butter. Very less health. Moderate damage. Battle depends upon if Sharpshooters hit first.
I believe the same..they have hardly any troops, and battle largely depends on which shooter gets the turn first.
At the same time I'd say that it's still better than classic elf..but not good enough..I find my barb to be much stronger too. |

I agree with AKA to some point. Charmer is complex to play, you need proper arts for it to be good. Taking Signet temporal ring is a plus for Charmer and ensures it attacks first in Survs.
In the end stages of battle Spells deal quite a significant damage so charmer should retreat and play defensively at that stage.

this has very little to do with it, its more to do with by the time your that level which is lvl14, u are almost garenteed to have fsl9 which means retribution. plus they dont struggle at all with ursaries. |

imo if i were to play dwarf i will almost certainly hv fsl9 by lev 11 and with dreadbanes its cool :D

some team combination is not good for charmer, say team with 2 wiz or 2 necro, or even both wiz and necro. also you must know when to run away with troops..no chance if enemy is chaos or might wiz. but still i like to play with them.
it is true they won't do dmg like high sprite tribal troops..all you want is to know how to use them |
