Today, after my N loss during an ambush, i came up with an idea that could make the fights more interesting:
fact is that often we don't specifically dress for a travel, for fear of forgetting to remove the gear and start hunting fully dressed.
My idea would be to have an optional set chosen by the player among his available Equipment, that will automatically go on when travelling and off once the destination is reached. Of course, like all user-defined sets, if the arts that make it go down to 0 durability, they won't equip.
This way, no more fear of wasting arts, and fairier fights. I know, "just don't forget to remove it".. the fact is that I do, and i'm sure i'm not the only one. | great idea for players benefit.. we can simply set that specific travel area to no arts, hence won't waste even a single gold.
question is, do you realy think thats for admins best interest ? | i'd say the admin would benefit for it as it will make a bit more arts used but it won't affect at all low levels and 19-21 players.
But considering the work they would have to do to program automatic change of equipement would be too much just for this, i think | #3 it's just a function to write, really, when you click the move button the gear on the defined set (we already have 5 sets, so that part is written) goes on, and when we reach a destination the "unequip" function takes over. I wouldn't mind at all if i had to re-equip once at destination.
Beside, would admins benefit from this function? Definitely! game being more equilibrated, and more gear used. Because today, many players prefer not to dress and loose a few coins rather than risk to loose loads on misused gear.
And gameplay would be improved, since battles aren't really fun at the moment.
The only drawback: thief guild would be a little harder. well, that seems to be the way the game is going anyway, since merc guild got improved too (with some hard times, specially for magic users) so.. let's keep going :) | | seems like a suggestion to easy your own game...no one likes rangers anyway lol | +1
