AuthorPlease make Named items useful
We have only these types of combats:
1) only shop arts, enchants not working
2) all arts allowed (enchants enabled)

Then what's the point of rare named items?
I mean there are so many different named items and all of them are useless for events/tournaments (they just take inventory space).

I think it's a good idea that enchantments are disabled for some events/tournaments (it makes some balance for rich vs poor players).
What I don't understand is that named items are not allowed in any events/tournaments.
Currently the places where named items are allowed also allow enchantments (which makes rare items less special).

The are no combats in which you could use named items, but enchantments would be disabled.
Please make such an event, it would be fun (finally named items would get a use, while keeping a balance between rich vs poor since named items only slightly better than shop items).

For example, what's the point of Survilurg halberd 40/40? It's a total trash since there is no point to enchant it (too low durability), you can only use it for some daily min AP combats (like any other shop art). There is no point to repair it either (since the same benefit you can get using shop arts and it will be much cheaper).

At least, let the items from that type of event be used for that event.
(like: Temporal items for Sentinels of the Past event, Survilurg items for Survilurg caravan event, etc.)

But much better idea would be to allow all named items be used for some types of events (not saying all events, but at least half of events should allow that IMO).

In other games named items are always more useful than ordinary items.
Just remembered Artifacts/Relics from Might and Magic game. Those were rare and really useful.

for the simple reason, is it fair for a person to join this mixed tourny and find out to be facing a high level with the unruly barb set equiped... no its not fair

and you cant compare an MMO to how things work in the HOMM series.

however i do believe there should be at least one event specifically for rare and enchanted users.
unruly barb set equiped
I dont think he means rare arts or sets, just items with an "i" symbol.while keeping a balance between rich vs poor since named items only slightly better than shop items
Not really. Many are significantly better and many players would not be able to afford them, mainly because the demand and pricing would boost over the already higher than shop art costs.
I do agree that the "named" arts are not as important. For example, even if somebody spends 200k or more buying a temporal set for use in group battles, it can quite easily be overpowered by someone else renting a few enchants from a clan depository. Also, group battles are pretty much the only for of combats these arts have any point in being used.
In conclusion, your idea has a point but is unlikely to be approved by the admins. Another downside of it is the people who have bought and kept with them a lot of these arts will profit a lot due to price boosts, and that would be unfair to the people who sold these arts for much lower prices earlier.
for death2all:
Good point, some sets might be too powerful.

Ok, here is an improved idea, make an event where:
1) all arts can be used
2) enchants take no effect
3) set bonuses take no effect

Anyone think it would be still unfair?

Keep in mind that this would make useful even low durability rare/named arts (which is exactly the intent of this idea).
And many players would benefit from it since they have plenty of low/medium durability arts from events (this will also increase the activity in events).
