Author | Mistresses - Ricochet Shot |
Ricochet Shot is supposed to do 100% damage to 1st Target, then 50% to 2nd and so on.
But in the reference battle it deals almost the same damage to both the targets. Would love an explanation for this. Cheers.

min-max damage for mistresses are 7-14. So it made nearly min damage for 1st target and nearly max for 2nd. |
It s, but in your case it seems that Luck applied on first bump :) |
While we are talking about Mistreses I would like to ask a question regarding them:
Does the hellfire talent work on every shot and if it does does it consume mana on every attack? |
no it only works on first shot |
Luck benefits all shots, doesn't it ? |
cmon bros stop being retarded offcourse luck benefit all... my god did u guys skip maths class every day of your life ? |
for blade-the 1st:
Don't need to be so harsh and rude about it, you're not that bright yourself.
Luck benefits all shots, doesn't it ?
Yes it does. |
7# Facepalm. You realize this is a game, and that Luck could apply only in the first attack if developers wanted to right?
Not like its an OBVIOUS thing that it applies on every attack, the guy didnt know, so what?
And regarding the first question in the thread, yeah I also think it applied almost the min possible damage on the first attack and the highest damage in the bounce, as they said in 2#. |

max value = 2* the min value
The question about triggering luck separately is perfectly valid, because you can't know for sure if it's a min-max situation or a luck-trigger one.
Oh by the way, do you know how luck triggers on area-of-effect hits like Elite Forest Keepers ?
See you in maths class, kid |
As far as I know luck always triggers on all hits when you have a multiple strike with luck. I know for sure it works like that with cerberi. Favoured enemy is different, this only strikes on one target (not sure if it can strike on another target than the one you clicked on). |
luck only triggers on each strike like wolf raiders trible strike, but misstress only strikes ONCE, its impossible for luck to trigger on follow up shots |
but misstress only strikes ONCE
That is impossible. If you look at the game, the first creature shot received 479 and the next one to which the shot bounced to received 419 damage. It would only make sense that the first one had min dmg and the second one had max, if only the first got luck even in the extreme it should deal twice as much as the second, and if both are around the same range(min, medium or max dmg) than the first shot should deal 4 times damage.
Btw, for efk if luck triggers all stacks the efk stack attacks receive doubled damage, when critical only one if there is only one critical. In rare occasion even in one hit there can be two criticals, they don't add up, but apply individually to different stacks. |
I think what Atheros means is that missies only use one shot and that shot has luck, or it hasn't. The shot then bounces with the (lack of) luck of the initial shot. So, all four bounces get the same damage multiplier. |

Aha I see, thanks for the clarification, yeah I agree :) |
Hey mates if we have any doubts let's just use the damage calculator to check where luck applied etc. ^_^
I mean, we'll get the range of damage, and if damage range is like 200-400 so we know luck applied on both :) |
Why is everyone paying so much attention to the fact that the attack triggers Luck lol.
If Luck only applied to the first hit, the first hit would be x4 stronger than the second hit, since the first target of Mistresses receives 100% dmg and the second 50%, meaning the first target would receive 200% of the real INITIAL dmg if affected by Luck, and the second 100% (50% x 2).
The only explanation is: Luck affects all the targets of the shot, and the second hit was calculated after the max possible attack and the first by the minimum, since Mistresses have 7-14 dmg I think.
And if you still dont believe it, you can see that EFKs and Dreadbanes affect all enemies with Luck on their attacks.
(And all this has already been said in this thread but ppl refuse to believe it lol) |
Huh, I got confused a little in the first paragraph apparently, but you should get my meaning. |
Luck affects all the targets of the shot, and the second hit was calculated after the max possible attack and the first by the minimum, since Mistresses have 7-14
each shot is calculated independently, the only fixed modifier applied being the reduction in percentage (dmg reduced to half than previous). note that it's possible that the 2nd shot deals more dmg than the first, e.g.: mistresses hit first a stack with high defense, ranged protection and out of range, and 2nd shot ricochets to a stack with zero defense within range. so weird things may happen :p |
