You are a high-leveled, magic-using, butt-kicking lord of the Empire? Time is an important aspect of your awe-inspiring, tight-packed, full-of-adventures agenda? Your secretary just quit and found yourself overwhelmed with time management issues? You sure are lucky, 'cause we got the right thing for you! The new and improved, never-seen-before, customisable spellbook!
Tired of spending, what seems like an eternity, to find the right spell through thousands ( I kid you not, thousands!) of pages in your spellbook? Frustrated over missing a turn searching your bazillion spells? How many times did you have to compromise for a lesser spell, under the rush of time? Prepare to part ways with the painful past simply by pressing your mouse a few times!
Just go to your character page, open your spellbook and customise the order of your spells anywhere you want, however you want, ANY.WAY.YOU WAAANT!!! Save your spellbooks and carry them in the midst of battle to unleash your arcane judgement upon your enemies, in a blink of an eye!
TL;DR, Make your spellbook icon in your character page clickable. By entering your book, you can sort your spells the way that suits your battle style. Of course every faction and alt faction will have their own. The modified book will be saved, so you won't have to do the proccess all over again. Maybe add a 'restore to default spellbook" option in case you freak out with the changes :P

I like your idea, why not?
I could imagine another Option:
Two riders in the book, much as it in inventory: "Favourites", which are full costomised and "All spells", which give you access to all spells at your level (maybe fully default).
Because even if you never used for example Earthen Spikes for ages, there will be the combat you want it and it would be sad, if you don't have access to it, maybe because you erased it or something.
Overall +1, but with small changes. |

I like your idea a lot, and I like your promo even more :)
My suggestion is, what if, besides the spellbook, we had a customisable skill bar, on the right side of our screen, similar to the one the dwarfs have to their runes. So, instead re-ordering the spellbook, we could drag and place some of our favourite spells (and rituals, or skills like rain of arrows and consume corpse) on this skill bar and have faster access to it. |
| When I said the exactly same thing, plus the option to open the spell book with a shortcut and even be able bind each spell as optional obviously, I got negative votes. Go figure. |
I couldn't care less about the "customisable spellbook". The idea for the promo was what moved me :P I certainly gave you a simple idea and all of you are helping by making ideal for the game, and for that I thnk you :)

"yes i definately agre +1 to your idea" is that the new thing now? -_- typing so much to help an idea spoils my keyboard faster than necessary but still very useful...
lik maybe add say tabs like all damage spells , and spells sectioned by type ; nature dark etc. you know what i mean right? |
12# In HoMM5 the Skills were groupped by Magic School, so it was easier to find the one you were looking for.
You'd click the Natures Tab and there they'd appear all the Nature magics.
That'd be cool. Or maybe just Customisable as we prefer like Lik says. |
