Author | Put a Retal and Rune remainder |
Heyo
Sometimes I have the problem in which I dont REMEMBER whether a stack from a Dwarf has used a Rune or not (A little bit after I discovered that only a stack can use a Rune). I also have the problem in which I dont remember if my teammate took Retal of a unit or not, but this happens less often.
In GB it is HINTED that the most SKILLED team wins, so I dont think the thing should be about remembering what rune did X stack use or whether someone took retal of X stack.
In HoMM5 IIRC there is a reminder that shows 'COUNTERATTACK: NO', in case you already took the retal of a unit, just to remind you. ^_______^
It would save a lot of communication (The fact of having to ask whether that stack used a Rune or has Retal) and would let you think more about the Tactics and Strategy, which is the important thing.
Just for reading thx in advance!!! Friendly .Com community. |
Facepalm, the title is wrong:
Its Reminder, not Remainder. |
Skills involve good memory work and also be aware of your surroundings and what your teammates hit xD |
For me it's only problematic when I cannot watch the battle, and keep quickly looking until it's my turn, so it's harder to guess which unit has or not retail left, which lead for a little guess and common sense.
An reminder won't hurt anybody as I see. |
i dont see how something showing the retal:Y/N would be a problem.
+1 for that
however as a dwarf i am strongly against something showing the enemy if my stacks have used a rune or not. part of the game is paying atention and understanding the way the game works.
-1 for that, |
Good idea.
lol death2all, you agree only on the part that suits you ... |
-1,
memorizing what happened exactly is part of the game/being skilled. |
+1 to both retal and runes.
for death2all:

If you feel this away about runes, then you should feel the same way about retal. I mean, retal is also about paying attention, right?
I don't see a big issue with this, and I find it would be a friendly addition to the game :) |

selfish.
-1 Wouldn't mind it for hunts but no for pvp. |

This problem can be easily solved if you chat less for the whatever during the battle and pay more attention on what is actually going on in the battlefield. |

There was a time we didn't even have the damage calculator and some of us simply guessed whether a stack would do enough damage or not. Of course the damage could be calculated (I myself have a damage calculator I made on excel sheet), but even I used to guess the damage scale majority of the times. And then the damage calculator came and it was a much welcome addition.
I find this to be somewhat a similar case. There is absolutely no harm in having a retal and rune indicator. And if someone out here is really relying on winning battles with the help of the 'Ignorance' of your opponent, you need to up your game.
But ofc, this would make the game more dummy friendly. The point is, why not? |

+1 for the above
Yes game needs to be simpler to attract more players.
Another reason this could be good is that you can take your eyes off the game for a bit and relly on the bell to tell you when your turn comes, thus not missing much. Nowadays yo have to stare at the screen even when you know that your turn will come in like 5 minutes. |

good idea, so retard like me can have a chance in group battle |
+1. This could be helpful in any type of battle. |
