(I know this is wrong but since I'm not CL3 I cannot write in the main forums so sorry in advance)
Anyway, my question is, are poisoners worth the upgrade with diamonds at CL3, i will be doing hunts only. If not will they be worth using gold to upgrade at CL5? | | If buying diamonds with IRL Money, I believe it's always worth it. It's what I did (Same with shrews). You can wait until level 5 though if you really must. I never used them tbh . Even now. even with gold upgrade, I dont think poisoners so good, it only useful vs elven bowmen.
later on in high level, probably 12 and up. they are useful for chipping high defence low hp unit. | | Using diamonds on poisoners? I wouldn't even consider buying them with gold except perhaps if I was trying the mage build which is stronger when you get Ladons at CL 14 :P | They're really good for PvP battles, mainly at CL 5 - 8 before shews and while the dark elven is somewhat 'obligated,' to play as chaos, they simply cannot stand against a not completely newbie oponent with same AP with might build at those levels. (well 7 isn't that bad, mainly with shews, actually is pretty stron, at 6 with shews is viable as might, 5 requires posioners with chaos build.)
At CL 8 the Dark elven could choice either to keep them as an chaos caster, or completely remove them forever and become a might character, it's up to personal preference.
Just one important note, DO NOT kill units that are going to die with posion, do not attack a target which is suffering from poison twice, instead spread poison over the enmies and if possible use them in melee combat, mainly if the target has no retalation left or has no significant retalation, cuz they're a melee units which happens to be abled to shot (with range penalty.)
They're the best tier 1 unit in the game, however their recruitment cost heavly.
It's entirely about personal taste, for chaos caster users, I find them a very solid unit, for might users, pretty much useless. | I sometimes face high level migh DE using poisonners.
No tier 1 unit is really worth buying with diamonds for the sole purpose of unlocking it earlier. You can make it to level 5 in like a day... It is a way to convert diamonds into quite a lot of gold, more than converting diamonfs directly into gold, wether you feel like doing it or not is up to you. | | Better save diamonds to get shrews at level 6.
