Author | Class change |
Hello
I was wondering if someone has some suggestions to what class should I change now to get some resistance.
I currently played wizard only and I am not sure to what should I go for..
Any advise is appreciated .

DE,Elf |
Knights 11.8%
Necromancers 9.5%
Wizards 8.1%
Elves 20.8%
Barbarians 9.2%
Dark elves 17.8%
Demons 5.4%
Dwarves 9.3%
Tribals 8.1%
If you look at this, then faction resistance is going to be of different levels of use, simpy because some factions are played more than others -
Easy conclusion therefore is as with Fallen Atheros
DE and Elf provide the greatest cover as more people play with them.
However, with your main as a wizard it is also worth thinking about how the resistance will benefit you.
The 3% per FL can be useful, but will not turn the match except in marginal cases. Ie it will not change a loss to a win for those factions that own you (Tribal I would expect), however it could be on those marginals. This might mean that necro is a good one for a agic based wizard.
Another perspective is the fact that wizards are slow, so you may want a fast army.
Finally and most importantly, go with one you think you will enjoy - that is the most important thing! |
I've recently been upgrading my Dwarf FSL, and also been thinking about the next faction to build up (currently trying to decide between tribal (which I hate) and Elves (whom I also hate too)

Where did you get these figures?
Finally and most importantly, go with one you think you will enjoy. This. After a while you'd've seen how different factions play, play the one that you think will interest you the most!
You may have noticed that quite a few higher level (CL17+) have resistances built for all the other factions, so it may not matter which you choose first. ;) |
for Meshy: click on top players.
for NWE PerfectHunt: make resistance against DE |
I see your points, indeed there are many elvish and DE players arround as I often too see, so I will prob go for one of them now.
Thanks for all your replies and have a good one out there. |

Beyond sheer statistics, elves and DE are quite hard to deal with because of their ini and sheer damage output compared to say knight. |
I would recommend keep going with your main.
with high main faction skill level, you may have a better chance in events, to get a decent art, sell that art later for a good sum, build a new race ;)
check out the costs of buildings as combat level gets higher.
maintaining even 2 race, Im afraid, would be too hard task with your low LG.
use PoT events for resistance levels. requires almost no buildings.

ofcourse, if you plan to donate to build new races, then no worries. pick something, keep fighting. buy your TGI fast. ambushing is easier at lower levels. |

That said, it's quite hard to build up your FSL when you're a higher level since you hunts/mgs are a pretty hard to reach. I definitely wish I built up my castles at a lower CL. |
Yes well it will cost a lot really, so I was thinking keeping maybe 2 classes for now and play only against them, my pvp has been very sucessfull with wizard though I rarely lost mainly coz of luck procs ( 1/10 battles lost ) |
Just to come back to this - cost is a lot for additional mains - though you can get buy with some if you are canny with which things you do.
So for example if you choose not to hunt too much - you can save hunts for your subs, so still doable - every hunters level you get some new hunts that are low.
IE if you ever see a grey hunt - think to yourself - this is an opportunity to build up a sub level easily (though remember sometimes greys are much easier for one faction than anoher)
You can do similarly with Mercenary guild if you have a low level in it compared to main.
Finally some events like portal of time allow you to gain Faction resistance with no cost - this is a must.
So my advice - probably with low gold is to keep at it with wizrd - then switch to some other factions for some minor things that are super easy to get to say FL 1 or 2 in most - this should be doable over time without having to build all the faction buildings and so save some gold
But as always - go with what seems fun for your style |
Do like MilesTeg says. You don't even need to build full castles to do easy hunts and MG. Play other battles with main and you will have a good main faction level and several resistance. Sometimes it's a bit annoying to switch factions frequently, scripts make it a bit easier.. |
