Author | Tamer DE... What's your take? |
So... Possible number of Builds?
- Battle Fury + Rally + BeastMaster
- Swiftness + BeastMaster
What else? Thx in advance.
PS: Too bad the Defense Talents cost too much, a DE with Avoidance would be Badass :P |
+ I feel like Swiftness is not an option at all since the Damage would be low without Battle Fury.
What do you think?
The Alt seems a lot of fun though Btw. |
While playing as Tamer DE i am able to cast only 17 venomous spiders but u all talk about harpies, trolls, etc. How to cast that and when? Has it something to do with FSL? I am at FSL 5 and CL 8. |
Obviously you won't get that many minos when alt de becomes playable
the recruitment will be balanced I just hope they make DE better and not annoying. During my CL 6 i lost interest in DE after a series of losses. Maybe i might not had enough experience at that time but how do u expect so much exp at such a CL? It is a bad experience for new players. |
It is all about your Magic Guild buildings. At your CL you could summon spiders and harpies. But you only can summon harpies if you have the Magic Guild Level 2. |
83# I guess you dont have all the Castle Buildings for CL 8 DE if you can ONLY cast Spiders.
You should be able to Summon something more if you do have the Buildings.
84# DE is a very difficult Faction to balance, if you Buff it a little bit it can be beyond broken, and viceversa.
IMHO DEs are balanced now. |
Max Minos or Stalkers Btw? |
stalkers are better at attacking, minos maybe better when you are defense oriented.
Well i know that minos are easy to kill in attack build whether you have 50 or 80. |
Well i know that minos are easy to kill in attack build whether you have 50 or 80. may not b the case here ;) |
I ave played a couple of watchers guild battles with these in an attack orientated build with recruit to balance minos and stalkers (71 stalkers and 72 minos, though no termagants as a result) So that they both have enough beef to compete. (by the way watchers guids seem reasonable for tamer DE, I could win them and am only FL 5 in DE at the mo).
Personally I am not sure I have hit on the best combo yet, and crtically with talent setup to compliment this.
While I have not tried tactics and innate swiftness to know I think the average initiative is too low for most of them to matter, they take too much damage before they hit for the most part. Secondly using morale based talents is wastefull as your biggest stack (minos) dont need it and given that they can boost others morale it is giving less benefit.
I think they are geared to defence really, or at least a balanced offence and defence faction. Many of the alts compared to classic DE (termagants, lizards and hydras) deal less damage, but have more beef(ish). The lizards are in particular meant mostly for small damage across multimple targets either through breakout or assault. For this to be meaningful they need to last long enough - hence defence. With this attrition viewpoint, the ability to relatively cheaply get more troops (1 knowledge in basic parameter for a stack of summoned creatures) and ability to poison (both stalkers and summoned spiders) means that they can probably grind down most. Obviously this tactic will be useless against Unholy Necromancer, but everyone has to have a nemesis don;t they!
Time will tell more, but interesting having a fiddle around at any rate! |
I don't see how they stand a chance against demons (spawns/vermins).
Is it advisable to use invisibility in first turn itself or save it for later? |
I don't see how they stand a chance against demons (spawns/vermins).
That's the same for all support builds. Spawns aren't that bad though. |
Maxing minos at the expense of stalkers isn't a good idea if you want to play offensively (with lower defense).
I tried stalkers and found them to be very important.
Lizards are pretty fat and i can imagine many situations where breakthrough can be useful. This unit is less deadly but still quite efficient and versatile.
Foul hydras are the worst.. I can recruit a max of 8 but it requires more sacrifice in overall recruiting than is justifiable. Acidic blood is nothing to look out for currently. |
Support builds usually carry more mana (at least 5-6 kn) and have shooters who can kill the vermins before their second turn. |
How does Summon formula work? Does it depend on SP/Talents or is it a fixed number of creatures for a certain level? |
We'll have to wait till the about the game section is updated. |
for Mr Aivaras:
Beastmaster talents gives the user the upgraded version of the summons i.e. harpies into raiding harpies and trolls into crazed trolls, etc. From what I read and understood, FSP determines the number of summons available.
As an example, in normal hunts (HG), it's possible to summon raiding harpies, a total of 25 of them as one with FSP 5. Contrast with insight where an average lv13 player (presumably with FSP 9 or 10) such as that in insight tournament (where all are standard plays and rules) could summon 29. Not really much difference anyways. SP also does not seem to determine no. of summoned creatures. |
I just realized that Chargers have 12 Ini, while Assailtants have 11.
I think that is important.
I often hated when enemy Unicorns or Rocs naturally have higher Ini than Assailtants. |
Btw I think Tamer DE will need some balancing in PvE missions... xD
Not sure about PvP yet tho.
I mean, you can abuse SO HARD the fact that they wont focus Gated creatures.
You can literally move your Spiders/Harpies to the heart of the enemy Army, and he wont hit it unless there is NOTHING ELSE to hit.
Like, Gated creatures are the very least priority in the computer AI apparently. |

Yeah, you kill the vermins and then get seduced. Or you kill the vermins and have no mana. 5/6 KN makes no difference because vermin is faster than hero, sucks 20 mana a turn so with 6 KN I can cast twice if vermins have no morale, otherwise once. |
