Factions also get an extra parameter point in a certain place, eh. necro starts with 1 point in Knowledge | | At higher levels, different troop upgrades too. | The alternative classes provide different racial abilities, classic barbarians have combat readiness, alt upgrades have tribal spirit, classic demon has gating darkness demon has increased darkness spell effect.
The alternative classes have different magic schools in most cases, classic and fury barbarian have the different combat schools but shadow barbarian has the darkness school.
The classes have different troop recruit counts, say for example shadow barbarian has access to far less goblins, and orcs, but can recruit more ogres than classic barbarian, just like darkness demon for example can recruit more demons than classic.
The classes have different talent schools, so shadow for example can access darkness talents at the loss of offensive talents.
The classes have different upgrades, so if you were to upgrade your goblins they would become hobgoblins, a hard hitting but easily killed, fury would get goblin archers that can shoot, and shadow would get goblin warlocks, capable of level 1 darkness spells.
