AuthorRing of Cold (RoC?) Released!
Is this deal still going on? Donate 35 diamonds for the ring??
for GeraldTarrant:
its till 10th jan
its till 10th jan
Thanks. Just donated and got it. Is the exchange rate better now than in the past? Is was 19 dollars for 40 diamonds. Only the 2nd time ive donated.....
I want to buy a 2nd ring with in game gold. Im trying to decide if the price will drop as more people donate. Anyone smarter than me have any opinions on the near future price of the ring.
near future price of the ring.

If more people keep donating and putting into the market it might keep dropping. Offer and demand basic rule. (You'll need some some stactic about how many people are donating to have a better understanding.)

If this ring get re posted into another future launch, then the price will drastically drop, since it won't be likely that all the stock was been used.

If peoeple stop donating/putting on the market and other people keep buying, the price will raise a little bit. (same rule as the first option, just with a different outcome.)

After a few months/years assuming the admins won't re use this same ring for another donation reward, the price will very likely rise quite a lot.

So, in sume. I can't tell S about what is gonna happen because A, I have no clue if the admins are going to re use it or not, and B I've no priviliged statistics.
The only thing that I've to say to the matter now is, the current price at the market is quite decent, so if you want to make some money...
Also, if the admins create the other slots items, such armor, boots, helmet, etc.
The price might raise a very little bit from everything as well.

Someone correct if I am wrong, but the admins have re used the sword of cold 3 times.
the bow 2 times.

So it seems they've a quite usual pattern of repeating the same item.
However they seem to stop re posting the same item, when it become over flooded, in order to attempt to keep the prices on the market somewhat high.

So, based on their previous pattern, I would bet that this ring will eventually drop the price further, since it's likely they'll re use it. However it might take a few months or years to happen.

In a short a while, you might save a few thousands if you personal make a deal with the seller, get a luck bid or keep watching the market closely. But I won't expect anything crazy.
My guess is that there will be a lot of demand for this ring and the prices won't go much below 160k... but that's just a guess and might be completely wrong :)

For a few days now the prices have been hovering at 160 - 168k, and I have a feeling that the previous seasonal art prices have dropped much faster (since only 1 was needed).
The price of ring will drop after Jan 1.
Its just overpriced now because there is no durability loss... once it starts losing durability, price must lower a little.

I think around ~130k
price will be drop to 60-75k i think ..in next year
it will drop to 70-80k by march
In early feb or so, prices will be half of that gong on right now
I sold mine for 180k and now prices are around 165k, once it starts losing durability prices may go to 80-90k easily
Same thing with flame dagger, i bought one not long back fr around 80k, now prices are almost double, with them going easily for 150k.
Hope prices drop so i can buy 2 easily :P :)
Consider its repair cost, it is quite low for what it gives and i think that will prevent many owners to resell it at lower price.
Interesting to see so different opinions :)

I would guess people are buying them because they're best rings on many levels for most factions, which make them attractive for PvP and surv tournaments (and maybe some events for some players).

Two years ago I bought a few SoC for 35-50k (while they were not losing dura) and sold one next summer for 100k... and another for 150k in the autumn :) What I would expect is something similar for these rings as well, but who knows :)
There is many people buying and selling the rings for profit, for now. Imo the price will go down to ~100k in January, and then it will start to rise again.
BTW, do you think this guy is
A) sitting all day in front of screen, refreshing the RoC market page, or
B) using scripts to buy cheap enough items?

https://www.lordswm.com/pl_transfers.php?id=1917242

I've been trying to keep an aye on the page, but didn't see anything below 162k in days... while he found 7 for 160k and under only today :P

Also just noticed, when he sells one, the next minute there's a new lot with the same price...
Now the ring is losing dura and the prices are back to 180k... lowest I saw was 152k.

Any guesses is it going down or up next? :P
Maybe after mixed tourney there will be lower prices. Also I think it will be possible to buy lower dura repaired rings for better prices (making CpB lower than it is for 180k/75dura)
Any guesses is it going down or up next?

My guesses remain the same.
It's all a matter of how many of those items does exist. While there is more people needing this item, than people selling it, the prices will remain the same, if the amount of avaliable increases and the need decreases, the price will drop, however the exactly opposite effect will happen if the opposite happen.

In a more practical terms, the more people donate and gets it, the more likely it will be to drop the prices. If or when the admins re utilizes it, the prices will drop, however if the admins does not re utilizes this ring, then the prices will sky rocket eventually.
Offer and demand basic rule

Not when some genius is buying all the rings and manipulating the market, raising the price intentionally
there have been sales over 192k already :)
