For ICIP

I usually start with 2 small stacks of goblin warlocks
a small stack of gob archers
a stack of gobs
plus big stacks of peasants/brutes/recruits.

Dont know if they have changed prices though.

The ONLY effective parameter of your faction is your innate primary skill point.
Say if you choose knight, your attack parameter will be increased by 1.

That is to say, if you pick elf, your initiative parameter will be increased by 3.

Which faction is most advantageous?
1 attack equals 5% 'damage of troops' which is worth 48 cot.
1 defense equals 5% 'damage reduction' which is worth 35 cot.
3% init is worth 31 cot.
1 knowledge is worth nothing unless you unlock magic.
Therefore, choose demons, barbarians, or tribal to begin, as you gain 1 attack bonus which is worth 48 cot for the most.

Yeah I was thinking about this round mostly, since i didn't want to check prices :P

Looks like at least gob archs are ridiculously pricey, and f.ex. grem engineers are cheaper with double HP and higher ini...

Tribal gobs are 77 for 10 crystal, wonder if they're any good :D

Gobby archers are decoy. They are targeted first. I use only 2 factions so as not to get morale hit. ;)

Buffers are expensive and can only be bought at higher levels but debuffers are essential (for at least one of the pair).

Fights seem tougher. lost at lvl 3 already (spider queen thing...) :(
What works well for me is a stack of master spearmen. Their ranged attack is strong and later they can be used for melee combat or distraction while your other slow hitter(I use guardians and crusaders) can advance. + They are not instantly focused, more often your teammate will get focused first.
well thats a little harsh isnt it, you shouldnt put so much pressure on ur teammate.


my setup is goblin archers, rogues, bandits, wolf riders and boars.

goblin archers and rogues are the bait. rogues are good for luring in enemy.
At the beginning I prefer to do a single faction so as to not lose morale or spend crystals on a hall of unity. (they are a large proportion of crystals at the beginning, though less so as you progress)

DE worked fine for me, I have seen barb do well,
well thats a little harsh isnt it, you shouldnt put so much pressure on ur teammate.

it is a team event, so if i have to sacrifice my troops, so my teammates' troops can advance and kill the enemy in the end, i am okay with it.

i take some gob warlocks for debuff, master spears, brutes (theyre slow, but not focused, and have good damage when reach the emenies), and forest brethren for fast blocking shooters.
