So I've comeback after a long break(several years) and I see every class has subclasses and such. Playing elf I obviously have tried out Charmer Elf and I understand I can't just jump in and play it perfectly but it seems very weak, having to do damage to actually get damage out of the spells means I have to put my troops into danger as there's no way for my shooters to accumulate enough damage to ramp up the spells. Most PvP and CG battles with it seem so hopeless I imagine I must be doing something wrong. Against DE I just barely finished off his shrews and did zero damage to his mino/hydras/liz.

Thanks in advance. | It is a bad match up, charmer elf is designed to have a prolonged battle, since the spell damage done by hero getting bigger over time, while your opponent is a DE might build, which is a rusher killer ..It will not give you time to wait your spell become too powerful

Charmer elf is good against those classes that very slow in action, like knight, tribal, barbarians ( defense build) , those fast class build like DE, barbarian offense build are bitter enemy for charmer elf
and also 1v1 is utterly bad for charmer, the map is too small for charmer to run, kiting is basic strategy for charmer, like i said you need time to wait your hero's spell getting better over time | | And also imbue arrow is crucial for charmer elf, which you did not take that talent i think | | Okay thank you, I'll make sure to use imbue arrow. | it is not bad matchup, actually its good. might build Charmer vs DE should favor elf 70:30.
but look at your stats, you have fsl 7 and 0 resistance to DE while the opponent have fsl 8 and 9% resistance to elf.In term of raw stats you have 28 attack and 19 def while opponent have 22 attack and 35 def. of course you will lose.
my suggestion is you step back from pvp and start working on your guilds to gain stats, also building anti faction fsp. dont forget to use premium arts like RoC and Bow of light in pvp. |
