AuthorCaring for fsp/exp
So I have had this habit of caring for fsp/exp ratio since I suppose cl 8 or something... and I have never been too serious about it, but still I have tried to avoid group battles and high exp hunts most of the time. However, I wonder if there is a point to it any more.

So I'm in cl 15 now, with fsl 11 in elf. Should I bother about fsp/exp any more? I mean fsp/exp ratio by itself isn't anything useful, what's useful is having a high fsl for main faction, and resistance for others. Now the only way for me to get resistance is to build other castles, and also do events like PoT. So effectively, being more careful about fsp/exp at this point is not about having more fsp, but just having less exp after the same period of time, say 6 months. Is there any point to that? Also I am not extremely active, so at this rate it will take forever to level up. By doing high exp hunts(7.5k exp - 1 fsp), high exp mg, and probably other stuff with bad fsp/exp ratio, I might at least level up in a year or so. So by that logic is there any reason to care for fsp/exp?
Just to clarify, I mean at lower levels, say cl 12, the difference between having fsl 10 and 8 is significant, so it is important to have good fsp/exp ratio. However now, since the gap between fsl 11 and 12 is so large, and also since there is no fsl 13, I don't think it's nearly as useful.
IMO, my main FSL is considered average, faction resistances are built during events.
Yet, they are not competitive enough among the other players, probably rich players, who can build castles to build more resistance.

So, I don't, or seldom join any PvP (sometimes I do join CG), just focus on small hunt that can cover my arts cost, and join Survilurg Defense (Since it gives quite good amount of FSP).

Just my way of thinking.=)

for Cric3z52557:
So what's your opinion on my situation then? Should I stop caring about fsp? To be honest I have already kinda made up my mind on that, but still want to know what others think about it.
you will hit CL 16 and fsl 12. once you get that you will switch anyway to other faction and always use potion of skill in PVP. why bother with ratio anymore since by just avoiding GB your ratio will somewhat always above average player.
To be honest I have already kinda made up my mind on that

Since you are already made up your mind, you don't have to care about the others, do you?

No one can stop you from playing the way you desired.

You lost nothing in this game since the guild points will always be increasing.
The most important bit of advice is to do what you enjoy, depending on what you enjoy most that can change how you approach things. Sticking to a high fsp/exp ratio is a practical thought process that means you are more likely to be of a competitive build at any given level, which may help you lose less in tournaments etc - losing tends to not be something that people enjoy. At your next combat level FL12 will be the norm, the better the FSP ratio you have now, the less time you will be at CL16 with a FL lower than many others. This IMO only matters in direct competitive situations, if you want to compete with the best, you have to be the best, and they will have very good guild paramaters.

Outside of this, most PvE stuff it doesn;t matter too much. For me for example I am generally in a reasonable position with regard to total faction skill points, if I had distributed them differently I would have FL 12 in my main and a reasonable bit of resistance in the others, and I still have a way to go in CL15. As it is however I have only FL 10 in my main, and am being torn to pieces in the minor tournament by consequence. I don;t mind losing too much, though it still bugs me a bit, and does change the feeling of enjoyment a bit.

In comparison, I can usually win most watchers guild battles with 3 stars on the first go in a cheap full set. So in this situation my lack of advancement does not cause me to suffer so.

Therefore, if you do not think you will be in a position to seriously compete at the various tournies etc, or are not bothered if you never compete in them, then FSP ration probably is something you can not worry too much about. If you do, then you should keep your ratio good.
the better the FSP ratio you have now, the less time you will be at CL16 with a FL lower than many others.

That's exactly the reason I considered to stop being strict about fsp/exp, the only "consequence" of having a bad ratio is that once I get to CL 16 I will have to wait more before getting competitive again(aka fsl 12), however, if I try to be sticky with fsp/exp, then I would take years to get to CL 16 in the first place, so that is a contradiction as having better fsp/exp is supposed to help me play competitively in cl 16 faster.

Interesting reasoning, I liked all your comments ^^
I suppose I will actually start trying to get exp fast then even at the cost of bad fsp/exp ratio. Thanks all! :)
