Author | Best build for classic wizard in campaigns |
I intend to complete on hero difficulty the campaigns for wizard over the next few days using the bonus from the elixirs. For battlewise I have gone pure might and that is fine.
For classic wizard I am not sure if it will be better to go pure might, holy build, chaos caster or a combination depending on circumstance. My instinct is probably holy build (can use non shop arts, many of which give enough extra knowledge and spell power to do mass holy, but without loss of main stats) or pure might as magic build only useful when against enemies led by a character. HAs anyone completed the campaigns with classic wiz at CL15 (or similar level) to give some guidance on what worked well for you?
Thanks | As far as I can remember I was switching between chaos magic and nature might (only 3-4 kn for summon phantom and wasp swarm, 0 sp). Done on level 16. I don't recall trying holy but it sounds like it was worth trying. Good luck! | I completed the two campaigns, one on recruit, one on combatant.
It really depends on the opponent: chaos build is a must against certain opponents, but a sure loss against others. Expert holy (protection from ranged + stoneskin) is very useful against strong shooters (last battle of amnitis); nature (phantom + raise dead) against big, slow stacks.
Also consider that the new AI is a lot harder than the old one: cornering with gargs no longer works (well, sometimes it still does). |
