Author4th Team Blindfold Tournament Plus
when you have battles like this

https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=840415317

i dont see the point of even playing
So I don't get it. I thought if they bring this tourney again they must have found a way to balance tribals, for example by making AI prioritize tribal over other factions to target. Doesn't seem to be the case, a UN friend of mine got targeted by a mage DE while the DE was being attacked by another tribal. Makes no sense.

Can anyone explain how the admins could rerun a tourney abandoned simply because it was extremely biased to a few select factions without making a single change?
Well I have tried DoF build and learnt a few lessons.

1. IF you attack them, they attack back and do not tend to change target. If you leave them alone, they sit and do nothing. Meaning you can bide your time and take them out one by one (with the help of a friend of course)

2. It is unlikely I will win with this build, though if I am with a sensible human, I should always come second with a decent amount of FSP.

As per this https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=840437228 - not much exp and fsp behind the winner

Watch us team up on the AI one by one.

Blindfold tournaments have always been biased. It probably hasn't been run in a while because they realised there was lack of diversity in the game - which leads to one class winning.

The first tournament of this type was dominated by classic wizard at each and every level. The second tournament of this type was dominated by classic elf. The third tournament dominated by tribal and at lower levels, shadow barb.

Since the last tournament, however, there has been the introduction of TDE, BW wiz, Charmer elf. There is a slightly greater diversity to challenge the Tribal supremacy from the last tournament. It's not the most popular tournament type, but some players enjoy it. If it's not for you, don't play it.

+1

I play for the fun, if I face human player that use tribal or shadow barb I am simply focus them first with DoF . it is fun to ruin their win record so they cant get gold haha

Hmm I doubt CE and TDE make much of a difference here. Do you think perhaps they wanted to see how DoM affects the game play, especially for tribals?

If it's not for you, don't play it.
You are right, I probably wouldn't :( And sorry for being annoying about it. I was just very surprised that admins didn't try to fix a very significant bias in a tourney, I'm just not used to it here, seems like they always at least try.
Tamer dark elf is better here than standart dark elf?
I think so, your best bet is either defensive tamer DE or mage DE. Mage is perceived as more of a threat so you are more likely to get sniped at by AI.
how do you get the other player want to cooperate? in my case we both can identify each other from the beginning but we focus to destroy each other lol.
Depends on the nature of the player.
Usually just don't attack the other player to show them u wanna cooperate, as ur much more likely to get 1st and 2nd working together, butsometimes it just can't be helped if they do attack
I know about mages.
I found out that summons are obselete, maybe bcs i dont have good FSL. But even that wouldnt make huge diffirence.
on Sure fire give away so that they know who you are is to do something really pointless that no AI would do, like cast Earthen spikes in the middle of the arena, or magic arrow lodegolems, or cast chastise on a stack of 1 shrews. So far I have always known by the end of the first set of hero moves.
Yeah 2 battles 1 win
If you want to win at low levels you most definetly should use RoC to have advantage over other players.

instead of doing that, if you want people to know just wait longer before playing your first turn. AI will usually move or defend within seconds.
for Lord MilesTeg:

I don't know if that was just my luck or if it happens to others too, Iwas casting a fireball at the middle with lores in a few battles, that seemed to draw all the Ai to attack me from that point, did you experience that?
