Youtube channel, guides.

AuthorYoutube channel, guides.
Just wondering:
Im very surprised nobody yet has created a Youtube channel, or any webpage related to this game at all (I dont know if there are in Russian, though) with long guides giving "Insight" about things in the game.
And I mean something "Deep", explaining the "Meta" of the game, or whatever.

One commenting his/her CG battles step by step and the decisions he/she makes, describing the many possible builds per faction (Like the many ways to build a classic demon), giving advice for suitable good "Team compositions" in 2x2 (Like Holy + Dark Caster, DD + CE, or whatever), or explaining random stuff like the 3% resistance thing of factions some people dont catch/see unless they open the forum.

If you search a little bit, you can only see like 2-3 videos about the game, about like 5-6-7 years ago.

Again, as I said, just wondering a little bit about this.
But I suppose only like 500 of the 7k daily players (More or less) are english speakers, that may be the reason.
Still, "Surprises" me, since many people just make that stuff to "Share", not for the subscribers/money.
This is something I have given some thought to over the past couple of months. I have considered creating some video content for updates/events that come out - As an alternative way to get the news. When we get the updates, they are often late or lacking information and I think it would be an interesting medium to get all of that information and some visuals included. I also considered doing some video content around the Maxim interviews - I.e. following up what points the admins have actually implemented since last years' interview for example or doing a video around the anniversary looking back at the development of the game. Unfortunately I am not in the position to create this content right now as I am not settled down at the moment.

I think there would be an appetite for new content if it was interesting enough. On .RU there is a player who produces a regular video segment on HWMDaily which talks about updates made to the game, interesting aspects of the game they are focusing on and includes a couple of bits of trivia questions to keep you interested. The most recent video was talking about the different Sages in the Russian forum. There are also players on .ru who put up battles from tournaments, I am not sure whether they do much analysis or just put up the interesting battles.
I would like to watch if someone can help.
Okay, so i'll share my thoughts on the subject.
in no particular order.

1. Guides and other such news and updates and stuff do exist. in the forums / in text form rather than a video form.
2. The english speakers are quite a minority in the already quite small community who actively play the game.
3. The game itself is a mix of RPG and strategy. Getting good gear itself is a priority that comes before good strategies.
4. The 'hidden mechanics' of the game, for good or worse, i believe for good. Don't exist. i.e. there is no mechanic or ability hidden from the player. You can see their descriptions even in the middle of the battle.
5. in relation to 3, playing this game requires patience, loads of patience. It is a game which chooses its players. Pretty much all players who want such a guide would be willing to read it in text form. * Though personally i never read all the rules. Well in a counter argument i didn't read my country's constitution either.*

Enough about the game i suppose, now the video itself.
6. The game doesn't have particularly stunning or visually appealing graphics to make a video about the gameplay.
*I'm still waiting for the day that i'll be able to recruit Nagas into my army.*
7. Making a video takes comparatively more effort than writing a guide, and it must have some commentary or the matter must be said rather than written on the screen, because that way it would just be a powerpoint presentation.
8. making the matter(the game) interesting to people would be hard. Even i who doesn't have a particularly short attention span, while i don't get bored while playing my own battle, if i had to see someone else's battle i get bored really fast. I've never watched a complete battle from some other player to gain insights. the 2x times speed is quite slow too, and i have fast animations in the first place (instant is no good, you aren't able to see that well what moved from point A to point B) .
9. kinda unrelated, but for the record i keep the sounds turned off and i never felt the need to do otherwise.
10. It's not minecraft either that you can use your own custom texture packs to make the game look better. Or can you? I don't think so but i can't be sure.

I hope this answers some of your doubts why such videos don't already exist.
for ImmortalRegis:
i would say most of players even dont use youtube.
I was planning to make such video, but then 'nah, too much effort I can use the time and energy to do extra hours in my RL work and gain moar money"
for latviesu lords:
They might not use youtube.
But they can be using dailymotion, vessel, niconico douga, Tencent video, youku or they use Baidu as a search engine.
You are being a bit close minded.
Or i suppose you meant that most players don't even bother using such a site, to which i would agree since, once again, like i said
It is a game which chooses its players.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
