From what I can see, everyday there will be some builds which will be better than others.
The key is to identify these as soon as possible, which can only be done if everyone shares their most powerful builds each day.

Quite feasible - A defensive build with tanky units seems a good option too (I am presuming thats what you have as I would expect that build to be the most effective against a full shooter army). Again AI is not going to muck up their use, charge and get through such that shooters have half damage output.

I faced a similar one that could have beaten me, but they had tribal goblins which I could get to retreat away while I dealt with the other troops and then get them to come to my side. If they had a different tank troop it would have been much closer.
Pretty much everyone I've seen has been using shooters, so def build+melee units might be a very good option indeed (what RR has there).

I've won 4/4 with shooters + mino gladiators for now (no hall of unity, just aura of bravery)

those melee units should be quick and swift, at least 5 speed and more than 10 ini, so ai can use them attack from outside the shooter's range. if you use a build with zombies or golems you can never reach shooters before turning into a hedgehog.

your build is simply too weak, tir 1 units are too weak this time, at least at today.
I forgot to do this, but to remind others. If you have worked out a good build, remember to activate any expired armaments you may have for those creatures. This can easily give a good few extra stat points which may help carry you through a tight battle. Of course they may be completely redundant the next day.

If finance is then a problem I guess you could save them till a later date and then do a load of battles on one day with the same build. And just hope you do not run out of opponents if you have saved up too many battles to be done.
I like this event.

Even though Day 1 didn't go good, this kind of an event is quick and gives such variety to players.

Dude, we can't see your battles, they aren't available during event.
The waiting period takes its toll though, to do 12 battles takes over 2 hours due to this. A win nets you 10 points and a win of your copy 2 points, still its nice to watch your AI copy sometimes play better during certain turns, it even waits for tactical advantage.
Also what happens when there are no players of your level to fight against? Do you fight against yourself?

Yes, you can watch your copy fights from the battle log of the player with whom you fight.
Yes, go to your opponent's combat log and from there you can see that fight.
