Hey, I was wondering at what point I'll be able to semi-reliably compete against the field. For the past month or so I've been 10 x Enroll - hunt - repeat except for the few attempts at the Great Experiment and the one before(though I made a profit on those + lvling up factions - knight/demon). I'd like to think my "stategy" and "skills" are on point as I've been playing this game for over 10 years now(not the browser game but rather the actual games, think homm3/4/5 and even put some time into the newer ones).
So without calling the game p2w which it doesn't seem like it is because you can always lease. I was thinking of what type of guild levels I should be aiming at before being able to (reasonably) compete within CG or the current event for example. I was thinking of dropping some money into diamonds(yes I know I missed a free dagger just a week or two ago. Too bad) but in terms of HG/LG and faction levels. Should I get at least lvl 3 in all factions and then stack all into Elf which has been my main until this point or is there another approach? Should I do daily WG's, is finishing the campgain worth it? Many of these questions are probably very easy but as I haven't actually played for almost 5 years since coming back a lot of new things have been added.
Regarding artifacts a lot of new sets have been introduced. What are some artifact sets for a level 10 elf? I know there are things like Bow of light and Ring of cold(flame dagger as well?). While certainly expensive they do seem powerful. But I'm wondering if there are some cheaper alternatives. Ideally I'd be able to join a MC some day and compete but I think I'll have to grind it out for now.
I don't mind going through the grind to reach these things, but I'm somewhat unsure what things I should try and reach, the faction levels, spam MG/WG? Hopefully someone will be able to help me out. If there are any typos or something doesn't make sense then sorry as I'm typing this on my lunch break and had to cut it quick. Thanks in advance ya'll! | add watcher's guild to your list, very important for both faction skill points and extra primary skill points. For the rest just keep up with getting your other guilds up. and aim for thieving guild soon ofcourse :) | I was thinking of what type of guild levels I should be aiming at before being able to (reasonably) compete within CG or the current event for example.
I would fully recommend getting TGI, if you are thinking about diamonds, using diamonds to gain entry to thief guild is definitely the best way to go about things. And as Agent said, WG is also a good guild to have.
I would also aim to get a little bit of FSP in other factions, this can easily be done with doing easy MG / HG and some events (like great experiment).
You can always do a couple CGs as practice.. though I would suggest going as holy elf build, and apply the buffs on your high level team mate.
But I'm wondering if there are some cheaper alternatives.
Yes.. https://www.lordswm.com/shop.php :P | Thank you for the answers, and regarding the cheaper alternatives, I realize the shop artifacts exist but I was thinking if there was something better. For example Great Hunter Knuckleduster is a reasonably cheap weapon to use at level 6 if you compare it to Sword of might which you get at level 7 which is very similar. I was thinking of a middle ground between the best shop arts and the high end stuff.
Also a side question is how profitable is enchanting. I remember a long time ago someone had calculated tables of gold/elements required to level up to gain profit but I can't seem to find it. | If you're looking at CG, you can only take the shop arts, the choices are the arts in the shop or the special shop arts (like sword of cold etc).
Not profitable, people sink millions to get their enchanting up. :P |
