Author | Is the MT reward too low? |
I was just looking at rewards for last MT, and they seemed really low. I mean at my level, if I play by renting best arts(seasonal arts are expensive), my cpb stands at about 2.5k, now if someone gets 15/16(gold), their cost is 40k. Now the prize for gold medal is only 30-40k, so even getting a gold medal doesn't even pay up for your costs. Now think of someone who gets bronze with say 15/20, they get about 15k reward while spend 50k.
I'm really confused, why are they financially discouraging MT? | Yeah i have the same opinions as you ,
they have actually redcued it by quite a bit D:
Now its only 15k for bronze
25k for silver i guess
and 50k for gold
For my level its still fine but for high levels its really not a deal of choice
as the arts are so costly
They should actually increase the tourneys rewards,
as after the merge more people play them now,
and its really hard to get a gold it should be really around 100k | If you own them it won't cost you 2.5k gold per battle. As I'm concerned I see it as CG with extra gold so a good deal but it kind of defeats the purpose of a tournament, especially seeing as there's only a couple PvP tournaments a year.
That said you can also see it backwards, now that having bronze gives you gold it somewhat encourages everyone to play. That's the part that mostly takes out money from gold and silver. | I personally don't play MT because I haven't really got good experience at duels.
However I see it in the way Slust sees it, even a small reward (bronze) will encourage a wide range of new people playing.
Plus it's easy CG points for those Who play well.
Your cost per battle is very high... might be smarter to own a full set than to keep renting. | In general, as is the case for the vast majority of battles, you do not make a profit, probably a small to medium loss. A good battle breaks even, and those that make a profit are less typical, though good.
However, this is offset by the fact that labourers guild is always to profit and you can do a lot of it (in theory) per day. This therefore means that as we have all learnt, one cannot do one in isolation from the other.
True the reward is not a massive incentive, but as others have said, think of it as a CG battle with a better reward. If you would normally do CG duels, then you should definately do the tourney. If you never want to do CG as it is too expensive, then you shouldn;t do the tourney.
If you sometimes do CG, then the gold reward may provide sufficient incentive to do it. Perhaps if not enough do it then they should up the gold reward as an incentive, though looking at past results there is usually enough interested in it. I have only once not had a battle when I have enlisted for the tourney, so I guess the numbers are high enough. | small reward (bronze) will encourage a wide range of new people playing.
I am literally playing MT for this reason lmfao :P |
