Author[Update] Displaying creature info
We've updated the creature info pages to support creature animation in HTML5. While this seems like a minor change, it is an important step to migrating battles to HTML5. We've made a lot of progress, to the point where you can now view creature animations on mobile devices.

As we move to HTML5, we are forced to give up vector Flash graphics in favor of bitmap graphics. This increases data traffic somewhat, but significantly boosts performance.

Eventually, we plan to support battles even on simple phones and tablets running on Android, IOS and Windows Mobile.

Thanks Beliar! Hopefully enroll codes are next..
its ugly, change it. Make the font smaller again and text not so spread out everywhere.
Hey, Beliar. This is amazing news, knowing that it is being actively worked on the migration process, and that we can actually see the progress of it. I am looking forward to the end result.

These can be easily fixed. No worries!

It seems the Health and Mana icons from the header have also been changed to HTML5!
Thanks for updating us with info !
Finally we can copy the ability name and tooltip explanation of ability without learning flash (important when you wish to translate a missing ability from Russian)
nice observation
tooltip explanation of ability

how? i can't do that
for Fallen Atheros:
Via browser's inspect element option (select text and click Ctrl+ Shift+I for Chrome).
for Beliar:

Will enroll captcha also be supported by HTML5?

Thats great news for me (Long time windows user) :)
Now only if I could enroll from a Windows Mobile :)

Well now that you've asked so politely, I'm sure it'll be on the top of their to-do-list!

Eventually, though I'm not sure if captcha itself is flash based, so may need some more tweaking here. I'm personally hoping it's an easy replacement, rather than the "new" test we get at ~10 enrolls with the images.

This will probably become very important when alt-dwarf is released..
I like it. It's easier to read with my old eyes. :)
Im just grateful they are working on it. I have had a hidden concern that instead of adapt they may just shut the game down. Im glad Ill get to continue to play. I dont care if the graphics change.
for GeraldTarrant:

They actually make a decent amount of money from this game, I don't see it shutting down in the foreseeable future.

But yeah you are right, since flash is stopping support in 2020 or something, admins moving to flash is a sign that they actually wanna revive this game, or at least not let it die. I'm sure they are also investing money on ads and stuff (albeit in Russian only). They are clearly heading the right direction as far as the survival of this game goes.

That's very sad :(
I came to know about this game while playing some other online game ( I don't remember, I was a kid back then! 7 years back !! ), I'm not sure if there still exist ads in English!
for Naturef:
Yeah I think I saw ads somewhere 7-8 years ago too. But no I'm almost certain they don't have English ads anymore.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
