AuthorFaction Resist and POS explanation
I actually haven't heard about Faction Resist before reading a previous thread.
How does Faction Resist work, and does Potion of Skill affect your Faction Resist against other races?

I can't find any clear information about this in the game wiki
Developing faction skill levels in any faction grants you 3% resistance per faction skill level from that faction.

3) Passive defense against representatives of that faction equal to 3%*[skill level]. Any damage, physical and magical, of creatures and heroes, is reduced by that amount, but only in PVP and some very selected PVE combats (such as ambushing caravans in Thieves' Guild).

If you had Elf FSL 5, you would have a resistance of 5*3% = 15% from elf for all kinds of damage. Simple enough I believe.
Potion of Skill affect your Faction Resist against other races?
No it only affects the current active faction.

Let's say you're Knight FSL5. That gives you 15% resist against any damage source from Knight players (human or AI).

You go to a battle as Knight, where if you have PoS active for Knight, you get FSL9. Then you'll have 27% resist against Knight players.

But if you instead go to battle with another faction (while still having PoS active for Knight), then your resist is only 15%, that is, it won't increase your Knight FSL because you're not playing it.
This is such an important thing to know, IMO.

Any "Competitive" CG Player has like 5 FSL in all factions at least in our CL.

Ignoring 15% of ALL the Damage they make you is sooo much.
Just imagine instead of 100 u take 85 damage that 15 damage might not seem much but trust me it makes a big difference
