| Now how many times can two players be paired up for CG duels in one day? I think it was only one in the old times. not sure about now. | I think if there's 3 players, and 1st and 2nd one to join played together, then even if 3rd one joined later.. 1st and 3rd will get paired.
If there's none to pair, then same players can face each other unlimited times.
This happened with me yesterday, because even I joined as 3rd player, and total was 7 players and I still got kicked. | I remmember when the update of cg hit, they said something that 2 people can only get matched 3 times. Let me look for it.

4. Players who opt for the 1x1 duel combat will not be matched up with the same opponent more than twice every 24 hours.
