You can take it for a good thing depending on your age. I lost a few tens of bucks in CS go skins on gambling and that really hit me. While this isn't as big of a deal as real money it's still something that can teach you about gambling, which roulette is even if it's fake money in a sense it can teach you that in the long run the house wins. This can help you thinking of it in a way that remember, you are on average bleeding out money. I ocassionaly play Poker but only for fun, sometimes you feel like dumping in a big chunk of money to "get it back" but that's the type of thinking that gets you broke and without a home. At least for big gambling. I just stick to small stakes a few times per month and have fun with it. Roulette should be the same thing, it gives you the sense of thrill. Throw in like 5k once a month and it doesn't matter in the long run it's just for fun right? Don't play roulette to win
Think of the following scenario, some guy gives you the following challenge:
"I have 3 cups and under one of these I will hide a ball, I will then mix these around and you'll have to guess where the ball is. You can double your money in a wager"
Would you take this bet? Why/why not? (for this example assume you can't tell where he hides the ball, but obviously no cheating)
Apply the same logic to roulette and you can see it's a money sink. I used to play roulette a few years ago and I have lost a total of 300k over that run. Since then now I started playing again and have saved up over 300k in just gold for my TGI in little time. |
| I believe the main reason why you should stop roulette is that gold earned through roulette is never really yours. You might buy some arts and castle buildings, but more often than not you will be motivated to gamble it all again to increase your winnings and then comes the fact that house always wins. Your luck is never going to last longer than that disadvantage as long as you cannot stop. |
Admins know that Roulette is a source of income for them.
I've been told people play RL money to play LWM Roulette (I dont see the sense here, since it would be more "Logic" to play RL money to play in a RL casino...), so I dont see Roulette dissapearing by Admin's hand at all.
All I can tell you is "Learn to control yourself".
"Gambling" plays so much with the Mind, that it can make you mad, and exploit the "Addictive Mindset" in you.
Me myself I have a -100K Roulette Balance.
When you think you are winning (There was a time I made like +40K in a month), then you lose it all fast in a heartbeat... :P

This won't be the first and not the last time in your life where you have to deny something that attracts you. Take it as an exercise for the things to come. Act as a person of reason. Yet don't take it too hard, if you fail here and there.
