| I'm new to commander guild and keep getting absolutely smashed in the trial... every match the comp goes first and just wrecks my face before i even get to move and am not sure what i can do |

IIRC it's an exact copy of yourself?
In which case I'd honestly remove archers, to remove the RNG factor from the game.
And let him come if he does, then take retal, beat, etc ... |

There's one easy way of passing CG trial - Use enchants.
I did my trial using 3 enchants, so if you strike first, it will make sure all enemy perishes and thus you win.

Though if you wish to play like generally everyone else plays; then don't use any shooters, no luck talent, try to use downgraded units. |
