| It's not economically wise to exchange gold for diamonds as the exchange rate is poor (1:3) in comparison (15k gold = 1 diamond vs. 1 diamond = 5000 gold). So, if you have diamonds, conserve them for other use. |

It's great in many cases. Not to mention it used to be 1:6 in comparison, it is far more affordable now. If you are a level 13 elf for example and don't want to be at a horrible disadvantage in anything you do, then DU is the only way. And for those who don't donate exchanging to diamonds with gold is the only option. |

There it is! Don't know how I missed it. Yeah I feel like a 2nd class citizen without a DU. Not a wise investment now but surely would be value for money at higher lvls. |
